    I have the SA 5500 model several years old, looks almost like new, very shiny despite using it fairly often. I went through a period of juicing all the time, then switched to blending, and now I do both. I use it to juice very tough bitter melon, and it just goes right through it. My other juicer could not even do one single little sliver of this melon. Bitter melon juice is antidiabetic and may rejuvenate beta cells, it's too soon for proof, but I use it and it appears to help. Thanks, Angel. ;) Bob

    Yeah, just learned that Super Angel sued John Kohler (from Growing Your Greens) for reviewing this brand. Gotta say, I was extremely put off by that fact. As a premium juicer, the Super Angel (self-proclaimed : "the Rolls-Royce of the Juicers!") should be THANKFUL someone like John Kohler was willing to educate your customers & help them make a more informed decision.
    Sorry, but the fact that Super Angel sued him tells me : 1) They're aware of flaws within their juicer, 2) They're not keen on transparency & 3) If they were willing to sue John Kohler for reviewing this piece of garbage, chances are if there's a warranty issue....they'll tell you to GFY! Why? Because the average consumer is NOT a social media influencer. And if they're willing to shut down a media influencer who's simply reviewing their product, can you imagine how shitty they'll treat an everyday, average consumer?

    For something on the level of Gerson Therapy, where you would be making 8- 12 juices per day, is that too cumbersome for this juicer? I’ve seen complaints about having to clean the screen too much, but I’m wondering if that has to do with improper juicing technique? I’ve seen your cleaning video, and it really didn’t seem all that bad, nor not that much more involved with some centrifugal juicers. I know that the angel does wheatgrass nicely, where that isn’t the case with a Norwalk.

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 5 lety +4

      It really depends on what you would be juicing, and how much. Improper technique - namely, overfeeding the juicer or using overly soft produce - can lead to the juicer backing up. Generally if produce is fed one piece at a time and letting the juicer completely process it, cleaning isn't such an issue. However, 8-12 juices per day would require frequent cleaning. If you juiced in batches (juicing in the morning, afternoon, and evening) it wouldn't be so cumbersome. The juice would retain its freshness if kept refrigerated. The Gerson therapy relies mainly on carrots, greens, and granny smith apples, all of which would juice fine in an Angel. However, as you know, the Gerson Therapy officially recommends hydraulic pressing of organic produce.

    Angel 7500 and 8500. I read 'In order to avoid corrosion and damaging the magnetic sensor, DO NOT completely submerge the Extracting Housing in the water.' What's your experience? Is it easy to clean the Extractor Housing without damaging the magnetic sensor? Isn't it better to buy an Angel 5500 and not worry about getting the sensor wet while cleaning?

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 2 lety +1

      The magnetic sensor is also on the 5500. It's not the autoreverse sensor, but the safety sensor to make sure the parts are assembled correctly before operating. Angel updated their recommendations, and it can be submerged in water, as long as it is dried off completely. We've never had any problems with the sensor getting wet - it's more troublesome if it is put in a dishwasher, because the heat can eventually affect the magnet.

    Is the soft fruit screen a must when it comes to juicing said soft fruit, will the 5500 do the job without it basically?

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 5 lety

      Hello. It's not a must. It just allows you to go longer without having to clean the screen, and reduces backing up. If you feed the fruit slowly it should be OK, depending on the softness of the fruit and the amount you are juicing. You can also add a carrot from time to time to help move things through.

    Hello! I work in a kitchen where we have to sanitize everything with water and chlorine. Do you believe that would justify buying the 8500 since it’s chlorine resistant and will be soaked in chlorine water every day or should the 7500 stainless steel be okay? What do you think?

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 2 lety

      In this case, the 316 stainless steel would be the much better choice. Chlorine is very tough on stainless steel, and the 316 grade steel in the 8500 is much more resistant to chlorine and other harsh chemicals.

    • @euJUICERScom
      @euJUICERScom  Před 2 lety

      They are completely different. The Pure juicer uses a two stage process, first grinding the produce into pulp, then using a hydraulic press to squeeze the juice out through a bag. The Angel uses a twin-auger masticating process. Both sides have their pros and cons, but both are also excellent juicers.
