- It’s Emma’s final week at the hospital. Whilst driving into the hospital she reflects on how much more she has learnt this year, but questions whether she’s done enough to pass her training…
Once Emma arrives at the hospital she’s sent straight to the ante-natal ward to carry out observations on Charlotte, a 29-year-old mother of two who’s being induced due to previous fast births. When Charlotte goes into labour, midwife Charlotte notices a worrying bleed and the midwives have to work together to make sure the baby girl is born safely.
On her next shift Emma finally gets the chance to prove herself at taking blood. At a pregnancy screening clinic, she manages four out of five attempts but even experienced midwife, Suzanne is beaten by one particularly tricky vein.
As she waits to hear if she’s passed her care certificate, Emma has one last chance to prover herself in theatre. During a cesarean section she must show she can confidently handle instruments and take notes throughout the procedure.
After two years and 700 hours of training it’s Emma’s last shift and she is about to find out whether she has passed her care certificate, which will allow her to work in any hospital in the country as a fully qualified MCA. The team are waiting for her in the staffroom with the result…

I hope they have a permanent opening for an MCA so you can stay at that hospital & we'll be able to continue your journey with you!
Oh no, this can't be the last episode already! I so enjoy watching this series with Emma and all the wonderful Midwives and MCA's. Please say there will be another season with Emma working as an MCA at Princess Alexandra Hospital's Maternity unit. This has been a great ride! :-)
Well guess what there willl be
I just loved every minute of these 2 series. I”ll miss them. Emma, please come back for another rotation. PLEASE ! ❤️❤️❤️
Congratulation Emma on a job well done. You have inspired me to return to school to become a midwife.
I hope we still see you continue your journey. You’re such an amazing person. A sweetheart, you have put your all into learning, and it shows! You’re so compassionate and sweet. I just love you. ❤️ ❤️
Oh I loved this series 😍 hopefully you'll continue on.
I would have loved to do that job. Being a transcriptionist was great too but I would love to have worked around babies. I am disabled now. I wish I could be a professional baby snuggler and rocker 🥰🥰🥰. Congratulations Emma!!
I'm in your shoes too. I used to volunteer in maternity and the newborn nursery when I was a teenager. Loved it.
As a retired nurse I have to say Emma you are an incredible person. So enthusiastic, kind, loving & so darn good with the patients. I am heartbroken that your series is coming to an end. I sure wish we could see more of you. May God forever bless you & keep you safe & happy. Hold your beautiful head up high & be so proud of yourself. With much love & best wishes on your next endeavor.
I loved this series! I remember watching the original one and forcing my mom, who is a certified midwife and nurse practitioner in the States to watch it as well, and I love that I can glimpse into the world that she and many others get to be a part of, so thank you. 😄
I'm so sad, I hope we see you again emma. Seeing this series was so inspiring and beautiful😌
I really enjoyed watching your journey. I also hope it isnt goodbye. I would love to see more of it
I learned early on I live how to put in and take out an I.V. and draw blood because of my grandma.
Then I went to get my paramedic license and it was just natural for me.
Congratulations Emma!! Well done! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and watching you on your journey. I hope this isn't goodbye. Those Momma's and families need you. Your gentleness will be a forever good memory for many of the mom's. Good Job Emma! 🎈🌷
This was so inspiring and addictive to watch! I love it! It's so sad that its over. Please please don't let this be the end🙏 everyone was so positive and kind, almost like they are in a different world than us 💕
Congratulations on your care certificate, you are a awesome nurse.I hope your working at that hospital and you eventually get to train someone else, you would be a awesome trainer.

Oh Emma...this was a wonderful journey for yourself as well as for us!! Good Luck in all that you inspire to do!! But I do hope that you go back to the same hospital with the same wonderful people that you were with!! Bravo and congratulations!!💞
If everyone was so friendly like that it would be nice place to work.. I got tears while she was saying goodbye to everyone and by seeing their gesture 😂
Congratulations Emma! I hope we see more of you soon.
Emma we hope it is not goodbye!
I hope they continue the show and record her first year or something.
They will there is another series out of her right now go check it out
She's 43?! 😮 She definitely doesn't look it
What an outstanding series! Thank you
Congratulations to Emma! This is a wonderful series and I sincerely hope there will be additional seasons soon. 😊❤
Well done Emma! You are allowed to pat yourself on the back, woot!
I've watched ALL of Emma's hospital videos over and over. So relaxing and entertaining!!! 😊
*I'm SO SURPRISED at people walking around the operating room during/after a major surgery was performed without a mask!? Doesn't seem very sanitary. 🤷♀️
I love watching this it is SUPER interesting and I hope there is more!
I thank God that when I had my twins my OB/GYN didn’t even let me try to go through labor. Which is good because my one son was 8lbs 3oz and would of been 1st and maybe suffocated the second smaller twin who was only 6lbs. So my twins were born out of order because I had a C-section.
I hope it’s not goodbye too. I so much enjoy these shows with Emma. 💕
I don't want this to end :(
Enjoyed these 2 series with Emma...not goodbye love...see y'all back on here hopefully soon!! Well done young lady...well done❣❣❣
I learned early on I live how to put in and take out an I.V. and draw blood because of my grandma.

It’s so easy to have two babies! I’ll see you next year!! Lolol funny doctor!!🤣😂🤣😂
Going to miss your journey. Congrats
I hope you fix the captions -- editing badly needed. The show itself is charmingly positive about health carers and new parents.
