I think I figured out how you can get your pizza scored 8 and above:
-Make it a "bar" pizza or at least keep it thin
-Keep it longer in the oven to make it crispy
-Use quality ingredients with an emphasis on low-moisture mozzarella to keep the grease factor down
-Keep the pie simple. No fancy shit.
-Make a "tangy" sauce
Sprinkle with cocaine

Wow! He was using 7.9 or 8.1 type language the whole review then dropped that colossal 8.8 score. Looked like a really good pie but I was shocked.
He's hideously inconsistent and he's got a lot harsher these days without putting that up as a disclaimer.
Totally I was at 7.7-7.8. He blew me out a he water with the 8.8
I had to watch the video again. If you pay attention around the 2:16 mark, you can see him smirking slightly. Pizza looks like a total banger IMO.
Agree. I've gotten pretty good at predicting Dave's scores and coming within a few decimal points of his final score. I also had his vibe at an 8.1

Dave I'm so glad you made it down to Freehold NJ. Federici's is one of our favorite pizzeria's good sauce, nice cheese to sauce ratio thin crisp crust bar pie. I am like you when I try a place I always go with the plain cheese pie. My favorite pie here is the sausage and pepper pie, crumbled sweet fennel sausage and green pepper (no onions). I also lived in Woodbridge NJ. when you went to Strawberry's Pub I explained why it was named that, because it's in the Strawberry Hill section of Woodbridge. Anyway I'm happy to see you reviewing good (for the most part) local pizzeria's outside of Manhattan. "What's up Frankie" love your camera work!

Bear 7453 it’s literally like 10 minutes from my house and it’s not a bad spot, my personal favorites are Brooklyn Square and Pete and Elda’s but cant hate on Luigi’s, if I had to pull a Prez and rate it I might go a 6 or 7
Jesse Gray seaside pizza is fantastic, pizza and especially pizza from seaside and Neptune is something I have like 3 times a week during the summer lol
Tj's in asbury park is my go to. Love Luigi's (in ocean township?). Used to get them all the time. Few other spots are: Brothers in long branch, mariutzo's and antillio's in tinton falls, delvettos, Dominic's and pete and eldas in neptune, vic's in Bradley beach. Brick town has a few good spots too.

Edit: the masks do nothing , the only thing they do is make people like you think you have some control in an uncontrollable situation. The virus is small enough to go straight through the mask . When you sneeze and cough while wearing a mask it just turns your sneeze into a mist.

Here in rural western KY we drive 22 miles one way when there is no milk for cereal in the morning!! An hour and a half for an 8.8 bar pie would be COVERED UP everyday ‘roun here!! We can’t wait to get pies delivered to the hotels on our vay-cays... it’s such a big, out of our ordinary treat. I hope you love all the effort your pizza entrepreneurs put into their businesses.
