I used to deliver for Palermo's. This is a family owned spot, with great ownership and leadership. The food is exceptional, and they take good care of the staff and their customers. People who come here just don't come once they are lifetime customers. I live about 1 hour 30 mins from there now and if I am in the area I stop in for a tomato pie, and always say hi to the brothers.

Julio stepped out of the door, told him the deal, and made an 8.5 on one shot himself on time to keep it in the same video. He stepped up and now his business will benefit from it. I love reviews like this.

I’ve been going to Palermo’s since I was a kid and I’m in my mid 30’s now. Pie has never changed, always great. A well deserved review for Palermo’s. Go Prez!

@@stever1791 mastoris closed down like 2 years ago. But it's 206 on the side going towards Florence. If ur in Trenton u continue down broad St until u hit the circle then u bare right and continue past the exit to 195 and from there it's about 1.5 miles down the road in the direction of Florence

8.2 and a 8.5 is incredile. The owner Julio seems so humble and down to earth. One of the few owners you don't care lingering around which is rare!!! If im ever in Bordertown im going out of my way to go here!

I'm from Bordentown but live out of state and I have to say that it has become a tradition whenever I visit family and friends in NJ to not eat anything until we get to Palermo's for two tomato pies (shared, of course). Yeah, it's that good!
This is probably a 9.3 for me. Crispy, good cheese ratio, chunky sauce so you can taste the tomatoes, smoky char, and the gilfs.

New Jersey is absolutely kicking New York's pizza to the curb at this point.
All the guidos for the most part moved out to Jersey and you got hipsters running pizza shops in the city now that's why. Still Luigi's in BK is one the greats outside of New Haven.
It has been, people that didnt know never gave it a chance. It really is better. Not every spot, they both have legends, but over all it is fkin good.

Just got back home from Palermo's a few minutes ago. For reference, I live 65 minutes away in Pennsylvania (Turnpike trip) and i started eating the tomato pie in the car in their parking lot. HOLY BLEEP is this amazing!! Super thin, crispy & light. I am usually done at 3-4 slices of regular pizza in my area, but since this is so light, I ate the whole large (5 slices out in NJ, and brought the last 3 home, and popped back in the oven (275° for 6 minutes). This pizza was DEFINITELY worth the drive. If anyone who watches this review is close to Bordentown, don't hesitate, just get in the car and GO! I left at 9:30AM to get there just after they opened and it was everything Dave said it was. Going back next week with some friends to try both the cheese and have my friends try the tomato pie. 👍👍

I've been going to Palermo's for close to 15 years. I ONLY ever get the Tomato Pie (sometimes two or three). It is the absolute best tomato pie around!!! 8.5 is an accurate score!

This was a great example of a good solid ‘basic cheese’ pie, that is exactly Dave’s go to i.e. crispy crust, not too strong a flavor, and the owners were sweet and non intrusive.
Lessons for future folks in this once in a life time predicament: slightly over cook your pie (thin crust is essential). Try to make sure the pizza is fresh out of the oven and not in the box very long. Pretend you only slightly know Dave, unless you have a beautiful story about how you and your family survived Covid. DO NOT stand on the street while he scores; you’ll easily lose 0.3-0.5 points because of that.
That tomato pie had one of the most mouth-watering looks of all time.

This is our local go to place. Glad to know he stopped by Bordentown as there are some good places. Owner here is nice. Tomato pie for sure over the pizza but we always get one of each and both seem to go.

Palermo's is fantastic, used to be my go-to spot when I lived in Allentown, NJ for a few years. Not surprised on the high score for the tomato pie at all, now I'll have to take a trip back there soon.
