Around 7,000 hz over 9,000 I don't hear anything - 64 y.o. - Have had 2 hearing tests over the past 16 months. Have also been dealing with persistent ear infection for several months. I used to hear the ringing for a few hours to a day or two after loud sound exposure. In 2013 after a concert in an arena the ringing became permanent, along with dizziness the day after the concert.

Hi, I could hear the tone until 2.9khz on my head phones and through the speakers to 4.8 . I think my tinnitus is at a higher frequency. I am going through your you tubes as I have had an audio test and have a low and mid range hearing loss and a severe hearing loss at higher frequencies. Thanks for some great explanations and I am finding them very helpful. I live in Bredasdorp South Africa, and 74 years old. This is my second comment.

Hi, I could hear until 8500-9000Hz, but my Tinnitus sounds like noise at 60-100 Hz. Important: I got my Tinnitus in 2 weeks after getting Audio-test with Miracle-Ear. Before I did not have any problems with hearing and only want to check just in case, it was free and close to my home. Now I am frustrated and don't know what to do and whom to complain to. I found that some people got the same after hearing test. Can you give any advice? Thank you for help.

Mine is about 9000hz, mostly right sided but it can fluctuate and also appears sometimes on my left ear. My tinnitus is also paired with sound distortion. I suffered 3 years ago some kind of inner ear accident that took out my right ear hearing capacity from 6000hz upwards. It was not an external accident, i was working in the office. The next day tinnitus appeared and although i was treated pretty quickly with chorticoids, hearing loss has stablished. I am suffering now from left hearing loss from 12kzh upwards but not as severe. First year was a nightmare, but with hearing aids brain begins to "settle" and tinnitus begins not to take your attention so much.

I had intensive cognitive behavioral therapy to train my brain to ignore or put aside the tinnitus as normal sounds. I struggle still when I get tired, or ill. Mornings are tough until I get my brain in gear, so to speak.
There is a program I use called Better Sleep which has a tremendous number of sounds that you can choose from and blend together. Nature sounds like rain, surf and wind are soothing and gets me through some difficult patches.
I have the Oticon More 1 hearing aids.

My tinnitus is constant but at multiple frequencies, with perceptible dips at around 5.5, 7.5, 13.5 and 17.5kHz† (allowing for extra gain required to compensate for age-related hearing loss - I'm in my forties - and, possibly, frequency response of my headphone audio amp).
But, thanks to yt's compression algorithm, I also noticed significant harmonic distortion above 5kHz, which I found quite distracting. Still, it's a good test within the limits of what is possible on a platform like this.

They will in time this is why the Hearing Aid Maskers cost so much because half the money is going to the audiologist. The truth is with smart phones, and how savvy everyone’s becoming through the years using smart phones as we all know an app already comes with whatever Hearing Aid Masker you choose they could easily the technicians design it where you program everything and anything you need through app on the phone and save three to $4000 paying an audiologist for two office visits maybe three tops
