At the end of the season, all the hermits should combine their diamonds in one singular diamond building. It would look like the ugliest 2012 diamond build.

i loved how happy grian was seeing scars 3 stacks of diamond ores, while doc just has shulkers of diamonds he hadnt placed yet to keep the fun going
I feel like all of the rocks are on the same 2d plane, adding some variation in all three dimensions instead of plainly stacking them in 2 would be a very nice visual, especially from head on, varying depth would look marvelous from head on and from other angles without much effort

Instead of having a bridge to the rock, maybe have a bunch of different sized floating rocks that you jump on to get across. and also have faded glass for a fog effect under the build

If you’re planning on making Last Life a regular, recurring series (if season 3 isn’t the finale), I think it’d be cool to do a season at some point where everyone is assigned into random teams of 2 who share lives. It’d provide a lot of fun interaction between creators, which is what I think made Last Life so enjoyable in the first place. Just a thought. Anyway, I’m so glad there’s gonna be a 3rd season! I can’t wait!
Last life is definitely fun for showing the 'early game' and all the spontaneous interactions between creators. Definitely excited to see whatever twist grian comes up with next.
If it is recurring it would be hilarious to have "past life" where they play on a significantly older version of Minecraft to throw everyone for a loop with the mechanics differences. Even someone like Etho whos been playing since pre-hunger update would have difficulty switching back to old mechanics.

Honestly, the floating rocks could've been a little off set, like one a little too far forward, or too far backward. Just to add that mystery and magical prowess of the whole thing. Other than that. I. Freaking. Love. It.
Scar is definitely going to be someone to be reckoned with in the next Last Life series. It's impressive how much he has improved with a bow. If he manages to get a good bow on Last Life that's definitely going to be bad news for the other players.

As Boatem has demonstrated, it might cause a ton of lag if everything is in the same place. Of course they could relocate some structures away, but that would just defeat the purpose.

I think the vines loosely connecting the Base Rocks really helps it feel like magical floating rocks.
I like looking at Grian's server.
It's like an artist showing their audience their sketchbook and inviting them into their own mind.

As a kid I learnt to love the concept of floating isles in the middle of the sky, and now that you're doing it, it's amazing!!!! Also, such a beatiful mind you've got, a perfect combination of both the order and geometry you use in your builds and the chaos in random things that mirror your job as a chaos agent
Grian's floating rocks is like how game devs in games that aren't open world would make things. Except the devs knew nobody during normal gameplay would see the side they didn't make

Bruh Hermitcraft is such a comfort for me its actually unreal how much nostalgia it gives me; messing about making the most random builds with my friends at 2am. I think I first watched Grian when I was about 14(?) and now i'm going on 20! Hermitcraft is a great escape from the real world to come back to and I hope the Hermits' child-like banter never changes.

I think the rocks need a more visual aesthetic (anti-gravity power source) as to what is keeping the rocks afloat. If the source is the portal, I think there needs to be a pulse from the portal or more cracked rocks around the portal like it is sucking the rocks in the area closer to it like a black hole.
I used to think they were saying “Hawkeye” like the super hero because he was an archer, but then I realized it was “Hot Guy”. But also whenever they say “hot guy!” Like the little goblins they are, it always brings a smile to my face!

I think adding a few decorational rocks behind could make it look a lot cooler from the front as well, giving it a sort of density and depth.
If it isn’t too obtrusive, you could probably add rocks in the front as well! It makes sense in real life (if rocks could float), and you might even make it more dense on the Top and bottom, as if a magnetic field held the rocks up.

I think the main thing that makes it look weird from the side is that everything is lined up and nothing is leaning forward or back. But fixing that would take a lot of work
I love how this build up to the build limit devolved into chaos and shenanigans.

Honestly, giving Mumbo all the diamonds is a great idea, sincr that way he'll actualy be the "ritchest" hermit on the server, and the diamonds won't ruin the economy. (Atleast if Mumbo won't be allowed to use them for shopping)

At this point I think the diamond pillar race has escalated to such a phenomenal degree that the pillars must stay!
Here's my thought: Dwane's floating rock buddies represents an abnormality in gravity. The effect could be strongest in the center but not strong enough to lift Dwane. Therefore, only smaller rocks would be lifted the further you get away. This would allow a great effect with less effort than if grian were to build a bunch of those larger rocks. This would also explain the different architecture styles as gravity, space, and time are linked; the gravity shift caused multiple structures from different times and dimensions to collect here

Not gonna lie Grian, I absolutely LOVE seeing the behind-the-scenes of your builds, because it takes it from being "Grian just made a really impressive rock in Vanilla survival" to "Oh hey, the creators we watch actually make mistakes too." Trial and error is everything when it comes to creation, so seeing some of what goes into your design choices is fascinating to me as it shows more depth than just the "Edited to look good on camera" final product! Can't wait to see what else you do with your base this season, and I hope you'll show us more behind-the-scenes content in the future too!!
All of the floating rocks remind me of the Avatar area in Disney World, as they somehow created floating islands and rocks, I was amazed when I saw it, and am amazed at how good Grian managed to make ROCKS look

It is so fascinating to see your test server and all the various drafts and portions of building you made for the rocks. It's like flying through someone's surrealist sketchbook, it is amazing to see how the ideas develop in a 3D space like that!

Seeing behind the scenes is extremely interesting! I've always wondered how the planning works for these builds, and honestly seeing the behind the scenes sorta inspires me to build something cool like this too. It makes it seem less impossible, seeing the process that's been gone through for the final project! If you decide to pull back the curtain more in future episodes I certainly wouldn't be complaining
