In the first few minutes it looked kind of Josh proof. Little door in the harbor to not take vehicles with you, can't walk there (even when on sea ground) you get teleported back, nothing really happens if stand below the decending elevator.
I wonder if a fish bridge from land to the ship would be possible, though.
Late at night Josh draws the curtains, kills the lights and pauses a moment to ensure he is alone and unobserved. He sits at his desk, wreathed in this privacy and indulges in a solemn, perverse act: Playing a game normally.

I absolutely love how every time resources are physical objects, Josh always finds a way to waste at least 80% of it by just leaving it somewhere, because the resources have to go through the holes.

For those are wondering why Josh character is a grey pale color. It was because of an update which the devs added farming tools in the game. Josh being josh he overloaded the game with no.of tomatos, so to fix the lag. He nuked that area which ended removing this clothes and he is a walking radiation

this is how QA/QC should be in a perfect world. game development as just a big back-and-forth conversation between devs and testers, everyone has fun either making it or playing it, and everyone watching gets entertainment out of it, and of course, business is booming. but that's just an excuse to keep the game going.

I'm getting Satisfactory vibes with the conveyors, but I don't think Hydroneer will ever have anything that beats the basket weave or nuclear tornado. Excellent use of gaming mechanics yet again.
Hydroneer and Satisfactory are somewhat adjacent to each other in terms of genre, but they are very distinctly different games.
Josh’s dedication to creating cartoon-looking scenes with comically large piles or chaotic scenes is honestly impressive.
The fact that lava can't hurt Josh means Hydroneer is a just a well-disguised Purgatory. But Josh is not trapped in Purgatory with them, they're trapped in there with HIM!

Honestly i enjoyed the more game breaking episodes. It seems josh is going more and more into the realm of “playing as intended” but with a little gimmick of doing something inefficiently. My favourites so far will definitely be the satisfactory ones. The kinetic tube bug was hilarious to watch. Also been awhile since we’ve seen a grace callback, it made the channel have a unique quirk you could come back to that connected with its style.
2:36 when Josh threw that down the stairs I flinched because metal corners just LOVE drywall. 😭
If I remember right. Josh is in the UK. we don't use Drywall here, we use Brick and plaster so you don't have to worry about putting hole in your walls. Just have to worry about breaking your fist if you try and punch said wall.

Those plates are pretty limpy metal anyways, I've heard, so I doubt it would do much damage to a drywall even with a moderately hard hit.
@@RuyVuusen They are sheet metal with a rolled/folded edge. so while flat it may be floppy before it's printed afterwards the corners will put a hole in drywall or a hole in your head if you're not carefull. Don't ask how I know.

For anyone wondering how far down the lava can dig: tier 1. It can dig through tier 1 ice, which means the entirety of Dawn Rest and a little under halfway down any other dig site.

One slight, tiny, tiny problem with volcanoes is that if you see white stuff that looks like snow, that's ash and the volcano's probably erupting. But don't worry about the ash hurting you. Because you'll die to the heat the pyroclastic gasses the volcano is emitting long before the ash gets you. But bonus you get to make ash angels in spring.
Well depends on how close you are. Volcanic ash is dense and heavy and can destroy things just buy building up on them like snow, with much less than it takes for snow. Not to mention breathing it in basically makes a glass like cement in your lungs and that's ignoring what it does to the average city/town and how you literally have to have certified specialists to clean it up to avoid excessive damage.
