I think 2020 will be the year that more budget drones use gimbals. This drone would be an awesome value with some sort of gimbal. I have a Bugs 4W and Bugs 5W, and I like them a lot, but MJX just needs to work on the camera situation. I finally just saved up my money and got a Phantom, but there is something about the Bugs that is just fun!

Hey DJSF, nice video of another re-branded MJX Bugs product. As a fan of both the earlier Bugs 2 and 3, once again, for the money, these beyond entry level quads are a great way to attract new fliers to the hobby. Don't support that camo color though. Cant imagine trying to find that thing if it comes down in a field/forest/tree somewhere(lol). Peace Bro!

SOUL FORCE QUADS ya, It happens. Just was surprised, I think it was dropped during manufacturing. The camera at the start had a crack in the inside lens. Thatâs why I had that black spot in the video from the drone.
The Bugs series are a must if you're into drones. Great shot of the birds.. Glad you didn't flip those frames when you edited their flight I don't think your SUBS would like it if you flipped them the birds. đđđđ

As you know I liked this one. The camera while not great is a huge improvement over the old Bugs 2C/2W. It flies great too and is so much more stable than similar drones like the FQ777 F8. My only big complaint was the poor 5G WIFI range. I'm glad to see your liked it as well!
Bryan at TrueDrone Reviews said the same thing about his range being poor. I got over 660 meters of 5G wifi reception with a strong TX signal. Bryan said he only got 300 feet, lol!!! Thanks for watching and your feedback buddy! POW!!!

I also have a question for you. How easy is it to connect a transmitter from a old Phantom to my current Phantom? Thinking about connecting that Tech to the old one are connecting the old one to the current drone. One of your videos, you said you bought a transmitter and connected it to your drone
Binding a Phantom transmitter is not hard, instructions in the manual and on the DJI website. As long as your transmitters are both for the same model. (i.e., P3 Standard transmitter will only bind to a Standard. The P3 Pro transmitter only binds to the Pro, etc.) I hope this answers your question, good luck!!!

Bugs should make a whole line of drones like the mosquito, the butterfly, cockroach, oh and the wasp.. the mosquito sounds like itâs gonna break easily while the cockroach would be the most durable and probably take a beating and still keep going. I can imagine a taser at the back end of the wasp but that might cut back on battery life. Since the mosquito would be the lightest drone, it would need the best gps system to keep it from blowing away in high winds. I wouldnât recommend the butterfly for FPV unless you want to get car sick. What other flying insects do you think could be part of this lineup?

Yeah, the camera was upgraded and looks pretty good. They must have also upgraded the 5G wifi transmitter, none of my MJX Bugs models can receive video past a couple of hundred meters!!! Thanks for watching and your feedback.
You think that argtech would work on any transmitter?
No, it will not! ARGTek makes different antennas for different drones and transmitters. The Phantom 3 Standard kit is totally different from the Phantom 3 Pro's. They make a different kit for Yuneec and a few others. Do a Google search or look for them on Ebay & Amazon.

I thought it looked like a Bugs 2! It got much better FPV range than my old Bugs 2w, and the camera is better. But why are they cloning a drone that's over two years old at this point? Why not clone a newer model like the BUGS 4? Great review, you really put it through it paces on the first flight.
Well, for this being Snaptain's first brushless drone, I guess they went with a model that's proven & true already, lol. I'm told that they will be releasing more new drones this year, so hopefully we'll see a brushless folding drone coming soon. Thanks for the feedback buddy!!!

Not sure why I didn't get a notification of this video .. I usually get them, and I do have the bell clicked. I noticed that I missed several new videos when I checked my subscribed channels list .. there were 3 or 4 (besides yours) on which I got no notice of a new video. YT keeps screwing around with things, making them worse .. like the new video upload GUI ... I like the old one .. the new one has me going around in circles trying to find stuff I used to be able to get to easily. As for this quad, it is a dead ringer for the Bugs 2. Now, as I recall, there were 2 Bugs 2 versions .. I think one was the Bugs 2, and the other the Bugs 2W. One had a crappy camera, and the other a decent camera, but lousy FPV .. I think that was the 2W. The frozen FPV on this one is bad .. only bad things can happen when you lose FPV when you're trying to do a shoot, and are perhaps in tight quarters. There's no way to fly the quad home yourself without an FPV signal, so you're sort of forced to hit RTH and hope to hell it comes back without hitting anything (obviously no obstacle avoidance). Drifts off the launch point pretty noticeably, and the RTH is probably a bit worse then the Bugs 2 quads, but its probably acceptable. BTW, why don't you ditch that plastic lid, and get a nice ROUND landing pad with the big white H (h for happy) on it? I think you were still using the new Runcam, since the audio was a bit low .. not sure if you could boost that in post production .. depends on what you're using to edit. Hope you get your "Mobius Maxi Pad" soon .. would like to see how that one looks. I did a shoot with my Evo 1 this past Wed., since it was the last time we'll have decent weather for over a week (it's 26F outside right now, with snow). Since I'd just loaded the latest Firmware on it, and updated the App, I did a RTH with it, and it landed smack in the center of my orange Heli-Pad .. right where I took off from. Probably not going to be a lot more updates for my Evo 1, now that the Evo 2 is coming out .. but everything works, so I guess that's okay. Well, guess I'll go check to see if there are any other videos I missed due to no notification. Oh, in my next video, I also went after a flock of birds ... about 200 Canadian Geese ... I didn't bother them TOO much .. ha ha. POW Broski.
I'm not sure what CZcams is up to these days, but I wish they would leave well enough alone! I didn't get notification of this comment either. For that reason, at least once a day I have to go into my Dashboard to read "comments I haven't responded to" and check to see what I've missed. I'm not having any trouble with their new Upload Tool, it's the missed notifications that are killing me. (I try to respond to all comments but it's getting hard to keep up with them, especially if I'm receiving comments 3 days after the viewer post them!!!) Thanks for your feedback on this bird!!!

I have a 6-Axis Gyro Quad-copter cyclone how do I get it to sit in mid air
If it has GPS, then it should hover in place after takeoff (position hold) when the GPS is turned on. If it has Altitude Hold Mode, it will maintain it's height, but it won't maintain it's position. Good luck, thanks for watching!!!

What you think about the dji phantom 3? Is it worth me getting?
Which one? Phantom 3 Standard, Pro or Advanced? My Phantom 3 Pro is still my most favorite quadcopter, even though I own a Mavic Pro. Keep in mind that DJI has discontinued support (meaning no more firmware updates) for the Phantom 3 series but they still fly great and shouldn't need further updates. The bottom line, DJI drones are built & fly rock solid and have (in my opinion) the best cameras available on consumer drones. Lots of Phantom 3 videos on my channel. Ill stick with my 2SE. GPS very stable and RTH accurate to within a couple of feet. Camera is not top notch but its still damn good IMO, managed to impress a lot of people with some ariel images. Good vid and review DJ.

Just like a Bugs 2, this drone requires a calibration each time you power it on. Your eye balls didn't miss it, I usually do my calibrations off camera unless the calibration is different from the usual calibrations! Thanks for watching buddy, HAPPY FLYING!!!
