    What a coincident Jon, I've just bought M3.02 and the purple pads (5" & 3") from in2detailing, to give the new car a proper clean and polish and not the dealership special. Your review of the whole Koch Chemie range is what made me go for this. I previously bought the yellow pads with the corresponding polish on your video and it's fantastic. So if it's good enough for the Forensic Detailer then quite frankly it's far too good for little old me. Again Jon this is why I love your channel, good honest reviews 👏👏👏

    Nice to see these orange pads reviewed - top job ! I noticed how stiff/dense the whole range was when i used them but they’re top pads no doubt. Recently I’ve really become a fan of the Rupes pad/polish range - it’s epic and lots of choic and simple to understand and the abrasives are such a joy to use.

    I've tried them, they are very good, but lake country for me to this day are the ones that make a great job and the most durable HDO pads.

    I have a 2006 Ford F150 truck, the scratches were about 3/10 so 10 being destroyed clear coat, 0 being flawless. I used the orange pad and two full sets over the hood. It turned out just fine, I’d say I got it to 1/10 which was except able to me. No heavy pressure just let the pad and compound do the work. The speed was 5/6 on a Meguiars polisher and my movement was about a 2 inches per second under hot outside conditions about 28degrees Celsius. 👍

    Just bought the polish system and pads from slims detailing,
    Heavy cut was great but found the fine cut was leaving a strange residue on the surface, not sure about the pads they are very stiff to use

    Nice little video! Just had the 3" and 5" delivered, will be used with the DAS-6 I've also just had delivered. I'm a weekend warrior and never used a machine before, I thought the one cut pad would be a good place to start, and with a good brand. I've only got Megs UC Jon, do you think that'll be a good combo? Thanks for yet more good work Jon.

      The pad will work with what you got , it is designed for there AIO polish which is for medium swirls and there one cut and finish which is basically a AIO has some protection in it , it’s going to work with any polish or even compound but you can’t expect it to remove heavy swirls or defects

    • @ForensicDetailing

      you cant buy them mate they came direct from a mill. But something like the Rag Company Edgeless 300 or the Wax is Dead Buff cloths are very close to it.

    Which pads do you use with the APS 50mm backing plate Jon? Bought the PXE kit after watching your videos on it. Wondering what will work alongside the Flex pads but in this size, as the plate and extn bars are on offer on in2detailing atm.

    Hey John, I want to enrol on your open academy course but need to wait till Jan when I’m getting some bodywork jobs done. If I join now the 60 days will be up before I can use it so do you know if the £39 price will be the same in Jan? Or if I’d be able to save the vids to watch later? Cheers!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před rokem +1

      You cant save them as such m8. So I would wait untill closer to January. It will always have some code that gives it for 39 pounds. Sometimes even cheaper

    Those machines really are loud it seems. I would probably wear ear protection. My corded 15mm seems much quieter. Those pads are expensive, even in canada. I tried griots garage, lake country, rupes, shinemate, carpro and even some buff and shine pads. My favorite polishing pad is the orange lake country CCS/HDO pad - they "float" over the paint. I think the rupes yellow might last longer however.

    • @orthodox1717
      @orthodox1717 Před rokem

      Do they float over the paint more so than the non-CCS HDO orane pad?

    • @seabrew1
      @seabrew1 Před rokem +1

      @@orthodox1717 never tried the regular HDO just the orange SDO, it's frankly my 2nd favorite pad. It still runs better than the rupes yelllow and even white. I'm not a fan of rupes pads anymore. They work but i think they are just a tad too stiff and tend to skip. Machine washing breaks them in a little better. If i started this as a side gig i would load up on the orange and blue HDO/CCS for 1 steps.

    Hello m8. You think using P6.01 with rupes yellow wool pad will do a good combo o cut some swirls and holograms and give a nice gloss or should use the orange pad instead ? Cheers!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před rokem +1

      Hmm ruoes yellow wool will out cut this for swirl removal. Foam tends to finish better but will cut less. So depends m8. Buy both and try.
