Next, we're experiencing the Dream Sequence, from Hologram Electronics. The Dream Sequence is a multi-faceted audio workstation, encompassing octaves, sampling, arpeggiating and sequencing. At its core, the Dream Sequence puts players in the cockpit of an extremely powerful polyphonic octave generator that tracks complex chords cleanly. Users can then select one of several sequencing series of upper octaves, lower octaves and root notes or make their own, and program them to their hearts’ content. The series of footswitches and rotary switches envelop the users in some wild octave sequencing patterns with some tremolo and envelope shaping thrown in for good measure. Once loading any of the 24-onboard patterns or 11 user patterns, players have full control over the waveform modulation, as well as its tempo, wet-dry mix and an all-analog overdrive circuit at the end of the signal path. Using the Hold footswitch, players can sample the arpeggio and hold it indefinitely while playing on top of it. Players can even record knob movements by turning the knob while holding the Tap switch, which are then globally controlled by the tempo-either via tap tempo with several subdivisions or a dedicated knob. An expression jack allows for hands-free control of any knob of the unit singularly or simultaneously, and full MIDI implementation gives players deep external editing. Each Dream Sequence is dreamed up and built by hand in Tennessee, USA. - Hudba
Im convinced andy is one of the best.
" the best" without "one of"
Hands down
This is the kind of pedal that could get guitarists to blend better in electronic music genres. Lots of possibilities
Paul Weyer definitely! I do stuff like this all the time in the box, record synth line, and then use gated sequence to chop up the audio.....this pedal is almost a trance-gate effect for guitars ;-P
I can't afford any of these pedal. I just come to watch Andy play.
+Mike Nowicki Andy's playing may end up driving me towards bankruptcy.
+Mike Nowicki also this pedal is basically sold out until eternity :/
+Albert Sirup they're in stock like right now
same
Quite expensive hobby to have really... I just wasted like 1500 dollars on pedals this year. it is a lot for me... I'm very poor. Still, I'd say it's worth robbing a bank or ripping someone off to get this pedal.... even the most basic "tremolo" setting sounds superb enough. the slow attack curve wave was truly mindblowing. How much does this cost?
This guy always does the BEST gear demos on the entire internet. Thanks for your great vids.
"Guitar transforms into a Moog synth, what will happen next will amaze you !"
Love the look of this pedal, very 1980's science lab
Dude! This is one of the very best pedals demos I've ever heard! Love your parts on this! Super cool!
That thing is insane! I've never heard of this pedal before, but you definitely know how to play the right stuff to help demonstrate it's potential. Great video.
Mesmerizing performances. You make these pedals shine. Wow.
At first you had my curiosity, and now you have my full attention. Well done sir.
I love this guy sometimes I don't even care about the pedals, seeing him jam makes my day... really
Best demo of this pedal to date.
still
can't get enough of the first demo track ...
This. That bit of playing at the beginning sold me. Who is this guy?!
I didn't think I was going to like this, but I think it's great.
great utilization! that's the proper way to showcase this machine. I can only imagine how interesting this would be with a rythmic echo such as the Echorec. Andy keeps filling my mind with exciting ideas while emptying my checking account.
This guy is such a pleasure to watch play great selections for showcase and and makes you want to play every pedal
Nice pedal to use on a spaghetti western soundtrack.
I'm sure it only cost a fistful of dollars. lol.
+David Lee Great reply. Good to know we're on the same page....Thanks!
+David Lee I can see this pedal making music that's Good, Bad, and Ugly.
+Hatchet House It's the pedal that won the west :-)
lolz true
+Crazy Uncle Duke Ennio Morricone should use it on his next Tarantino soundtrack.
That was a freaking epic demo. Every time you demo a new piece of gear I have a hard time not seeing it in my future!
what a cool opening song. Very interesting pedal. Thanks Andy.
Awesome tune at the start
Love these pedals and sounds just great sounds and beautifully demonstrated as well
Love the first two songs!
What a great guitarist. Andy has to record these riffs soon!!
I want a pedal that makes me play like Andy
Love your videos dude. Demos are usually better than the company's demos lol
Good god! Did not expect that to be so good.
Nice playing ... so inventive ... this is my favorite video ... til the next one !!!
This guy does the best demos.
Does this guy have albums???
+Thomas Houston It should just be like an hour long compilation album of all epic riffs that he does lol, I'd totally buy that
I just discovered youtube, so I just discovered these videos... and I too would pay & enjoy these jams.
Reminds me of sample & hold filters in synthesizers. Such great tones.
Just excellent, as always. Thank you.
I don't see a "rate" knob... Is the speed controlled by tap tempo only?
before I buy a pedal I can't demo myself I always check if Andy has demo'd it..he really squeezes everything out of a pedal and them some
Totally Badass Andy!
Fantastic sounding stuff!
Have you ever thought about selling your original songs on iTunes and put a link to it in these videos? Some of the things you come up with are amazing and I'd love to have a whole song! You are truly a guitarist guitar player!
As always, great demo . . . very interesting pedal
I hate watching these demos, because Andy makes everything he demos sound so good, I want everything! Damn You Andy! :)
i really like this pedal, what a great tool!
Man , Andy ..... once again....you've Blown my mind (considering I just woke up . ). Keep On Rockin', brutha !!!!
Hey thanks!! This was one of my favorite demos from the PGS days! The intro song completely came together after hearing the pedal make that octave pattern. Hope to see you on my current channel.
@@AndyDemos Pls. Help... what is your current channel ?
@@tonyerico1208 It's the account I'm replying with..AndyDemos! I'm also still with Reverb, so check those out thanks!
@@AndyDemos 10 - 4, Captain.... I'm a night owl....I hadn't had my coffee yet...lol. Jam On, Maestro!!! *Thx. Again
Wow,really interesting device...Lot's of possibilities...
Andy makes two or three guitar tracks sound like a freaking orchestra.
Great demo.
amazing pedal, and an amazing guitarist. i like watching your videos sometimes just for the guitar riffs and not even the reviews
+Zeke Zacierka Same here :). Andy should be in a band.
+Jonathan Dean Andy doesn't need a band. Pretty sure he can play two guitars and a bass at the same time.
Iván A. Don't forget drums.
Absolutely
Most of the time. I'm not shopping for any pedals right now, but his skills, and ability to pull some deep tracks as examples is just great.
Mind blown.
Finally an original pedal! Sounds great!
Not so original, check out the Moog MoogerFooger Murf
Rickson Hari not even close to this.
I feel like the dudes from Battles would be all over this pedal
+FuzzyL00ps yeah! it's a bit like the midi murf Dave uses.
That's insane!
A dream within a dream!
Very cool!
This sounds a lot like Frusciante live in 06-07 era, a lot of use with modular synth-like pedals
Oh God... WHY did I watch this!!??
what's the song at the beginning ?!
It figures that I fall in love with a pedal and it happens to be the price of a decent amp.
W.A.T that was awesome
Andy You Should Be The LEADER OF A GRAND BAND!!
I wonder if one could obtain a similar result with the EHX 8-Step, EHX DMMTT and EHX Pitchfork.....
nice tune
Hey Andy could you use this pedal to get an effect like JF uses on "Ratiug"? He used an old synthesizer from the 80's (Roland MC 202 I think)
+dckstrat90 Great fucking song. I think I'll put it on right now. That and 'Sum' are my favorite tracks off that album. Rock on! Btw I'm not quite sure this pedal can get you that sound. At least in the intro. Based of my experiences using it.
Just ordered one last night, impressed demo.
Fantastic demo! I love to see less ambient uses of a pedal like this!
The (brilliant) intro has some John Carpenter feel to it. Funtastic
Indeed.
wow...just wow
Guess I'll wait until the Joyo version
Wow! After my BigSky purchase this one is next!
Are you me?
+Andrew Tucker Lol!
+Andrew Tucker got BigSky then thought this would be next... but no.... I then bought the H9 Max no money left... maybe next year.
What is that tune you start with?
It's like Tom Morello in a box!
Really enjoying this demo of this pedal but I wonder how well it would go with a AC15 since it doesn't have an fx-loop?
WhatYouWantMe honestly, I wouldn't expect it to make too big of an impact either way. Effects Loops aren't technically necessary, so I think it would really just boil down to how you have your amp settings. Keep on playin!
Andy is that your riff?. Very cool.
Got to,give it too Andy for thinking some thing up for that
where can i get a green club king?
does anyone know if you can make "3" patterns using the triplet subdivisions? Id like to get this but not sure its for me if it can only do divisions of 2. wondering if you could make it sound like 3/4 by using the triplets...?
Jared Rodgers old comment, but i believe you can. The Dream Sequence does both quarter note and eighth note triplets.
Would this first tune be great live???
ARE YOU PLAYING SOME OF THE SCORE TO 'INTERSTELLAR' ? AWESOME!
ok next thing I am going to have to replicate in Max for Live!
Whoa
What is the green guitar he s playing?
nice demo andy but ifeel that one 8 minute video doesnt show us everything this pedal can do another demo would be great cheers
Hey Andy what is that Green guitar you are using?
Great work by the way. I always use your vids when I want to hear new stuff.
It's a Reverend (probably a Club King)
+2und2sind4 thanks man !
How much ?
+pngtr I don't know. I just saw another comment, saying it was a Reverend, so I thought I'd help you out.
Thanks brother...!
This is what the boss sl20 wants to be when it grows up
Andy, that Reverend you're playing is gorgeous. Could you tell me about it? Is it a Club King?
I'd be interested, too.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHICH GUITAR WAS THE GREEN ONE WITH CREAM PICKUPS!!!!!!
Reverend Club King. Good stuff...
anyone know what version les paul that is
Intro track almost sounds like Cochise
J. Mayer uses this device in Bigger Than My Body intro, my suppose...
I would buy this solely for the slow infinite slow octave swell.
Problem is you go out and buy, sweet. It gets home and then? Why doesn't it sound so kickass? lol
old Neil could get crazy on this...
Imagine what it could do with synthesiser, even cheap & simple , like Korg Volca keys, or anything wit MIDI sync...
Or just with Eventide H9 Harmonizer, wich also have MIDI O/I. Why can't anybody make video like this...
Caja llena de sorpresas
My Brain Twisted In Two Different Directions.
hello. is it syncable to midiclock?
In case you're still curious, yes - it can both sync to incoming MIDI clock as well as generate MIDI clock if it's at the beginning of your MIDI device chain. I currently have mine running after two Eventide H9s (in MIDI) and it syncs with their tap tempo perfectly.
Adrian Belew would have a ball with this pedal.
It sounds like new Mad Season song
this pedal could be used to establish a contact with aliens..
It can also be used to empty your wallet
sounding like fripp at the end there
This pedal seems pretty cool
*Looks at price*
Not THAT cool
go look at knobs demo this guy is a dweeb
caitlin bottoms-newby Knobs is terrible honestly. Gives you no idea what a pedal will actually sound like because he makes everything sound exactly the same by playing unmusical and random notes
@@stevedecklin most of the people that get this pedal will play it like knobs so it’s a better showcase.
@@mono.isgtds Wrong, even people who suck at guitar can play chords or some riffs. Knobs is the most useless pedal reviewer there is
St. Vincent needs this.
0:32 ... Tom F...ing Morello !
It's not Morello, but to me, it's sounds like him !
Ideas generator!
Anyone know if this can do Map of the Problematique by Muse? Almost feel like it should
