I think Nintendo is going to reveal their next hardware around Summer-Fall of 2024.
Once Nintendo revealed their next hardware around Summer-Fall of 2024, then Nintendo is going to release the next-gen Nintendo console in early 2025.
God, I hope the next-gen Nintendo console gets involved with backwards compatibility, cross-gen games, Mii Maker/Plaza, Mii-Verse (even though I've never been into Mii-Verse, I've heard most people say Mii-Verse is awesome, and it'll be awesome if Nintendo decides to bring back the Miiverse for the next-gen Nintendo console), free online service, background music (for both startup/main menu and E-Shop theme), customizable background theme (including the music), increased frame-rates/performance/storage space, stylized graphics, functional amiibo support, and better battery-life.
The three things I'm worried about for the next-gen Nintendo console is Denuvo/DRM, lack of backwards compatibility, and digital only console.
God, I hope Nintendo doesn't reject physical games in the future, and I hope that the next-gen Nintendo console isn't the last physical system.
1. Yen inflation has created a situation where Taiwanese, Korean, and Vietnamese labor all is too high of a cost with where the Yen is right now. Japan’s financial sector predicts that to come back to a sensible position late 2024, which makes early 2025 the right time to spend big on a huge manufacturing run, of a new console which has been done with design for some time.
2. Nintendo knows with another year of SALES, both hardware and software, they can unload ALL inventory, to younger gamers, females and developing nations primarily with the pending sizable discounts.
3. Nintendo also knows that with this huge sale inventory unload …. They have a very real chance to eclipse the PS2 sales record of 155-158million consoles sold, at some point in 2025…. This achievement may not mean much to hardcore gamers …. But it means ALOT of FREE MARKETING that can be utilized and “TIDE OVER” into free marketing for the Switch 2 launch shortly thereafter….
4. Nintendo also knows that with this additional time, their teams can polish launch games much more, and even finish some additional titles for the first year line up, all helping it ensure the Switch2 launch is massively successful, and maintains all existing momentum of the Switch, while building upon it with even more features, spec bumps, and 3rd party support.
It would be ironic and funny if the Nintendo Switch 2 released on the same exact day that the Switch first released in 2017, March 3rd.
Sadly March 3rd is a Monday in 2025 but yeah that would be really cool haha

Switch is still selling pretty well; by launching the Switch 2, Nintendo could sabotage possible Switch sales. I think they're waiting until it's not profitable to produce more Switch consoles anymore.
I hope this means that they're prioritizing power; because not only they'd compete with the PS5, but possibly most of the PS6.
They’re not going to prioritise power they’re going to prioritise gameplay as they should over graphics, you’re living in a fantasy if you think Nintendo cares about 4K graphics and all the other superficial nonsense, you seem just like another entitled self absorbed spoiled gamer.
If you think they're prioritizing power then you haven't seen the recent leaks. The PS5's APU heats up to 200+ degrees and needs Liquid Metal and fans to keeps it cool. Unless Nintendo makes a normal console that's really big, they won't get PS5 performance. From the leaks we've gotten so far it could reach ps4 maybe ps4 pro performance.
@@PhoenixKeebs When I say prioritizing power I mean with the specs they can get at around $300-400 and with a battery life of minimum 3 hours, just like the Switch.
But they may have other goals in mind, for example: remove the cooling fan from the unit and put it in the dock, now there's more space for an even bigger battery, but you'd have to underclock it to avoid overheating. That means even more battery life!
We don't exactly know how important power is for Nintendo this next generation; is it the big selling point they're trying to sell so AAA feel confident in launching those games that the original Switch game can't handle? Or is it an afterthought and going towards sleeker design or better battery life?
My prediction is they'll do their initial reveal in the summer and then build up hype during the fall and start of next year leading up to the release. I also think we'll see a price reduction on the current Switch models starting this holiday season.
Nintendo had an earnings call where they talked about selling 19 million switch consoles this year. If they sell 15 million however they will beat the PlayStation2 for the best games console of all time. And Nintendo knew that if they sold the switch 2 this year they would ruin their chances to beat the ps2. This is why they held back. When they can say in marketing for the switch 2 that the switch was the best selling console of all time and the switch 2 is ten times as good. Boosting the marketing and going down on record.

The Switch 2 could have a great start. However, after it's 2nd year, it might fall a bit short sales wise if it's $400.

Repeating history is not a really good idea to do , cuz it would definitely be a lot better to make , the next Switch a lot more newer than it is now.
But anyway the next Switch really should have been announced already , but keeping us all in the dark for a very long time is not very smart.
But having the next Switch to come out in the next year , just might be a good idea but it’s not a good idea for that.
Cuz at some point some of us will crack , under pressure of waiting for a very long time.

I hope the next Nintendo system comes sooner to now than later with NES/SNES/Gameboy systems/N64 games lots of us likes classic games and lots of us likes Darby of Blue Television Games Tuesdays streams of usually lots of classic games from lots of classic video games systems picked by lots of people in chat. Here's hope one of the 1st games with the new Nintendo system is Mario Kart with online races including tourneys with lots of people around the world I like Mario and racing and playing games with people and not counting Tetris 99 in GameXplain Thanksgiving streams the only game I can do that with is MK8D and I only really play it in GameXplain Mondays tourney.
might get a switch 2, didnt get switch one since I have yuzu LOL. I just use it for their main titles. Didnt really see a point in owning one to play a handful of games, plus switch was weak and just didnt want one.
