Came for big tiddy, eldritch goat mommi, stayed for a poignant (and a bit existential) love story, about perseverance, healing, and feeling...
*...then stayed too long, and saw it all burnt to ashes.*
Buck plotted for a thousand years and never realized he could just post up with his shotgun by the door, or fill the basement with cement
His purpose wasn't to kill, but to scare her. That would defeat the point.
Lmaoooooo
Damn that true ending. Its true that they said ghe woods were all over the world, so logically burning the woods burns the world
Not gonna lie, I thought that ending was bit strange. I guess it makes sense given the theme of the game, but completely out of character for Stardust.
@@BreezeOTM true... I've also been thinking about It and I think Auntie planned this from the beggining. The fact the mission text says "You are Bucks replacement. You can be replaced". At first I thought was saying Ro'kzan was using you, but i think this was just Nyan hinting shes the reason why Buck changed.
Buck accidentally got immortality and spent a lot of time trying to revert It, then according to Muu he "changed". This could have been Auntie Nyan Nyan convincing him to torment her niece with the promise his immortality would be destroyed.
Since we pacified Buck, she still needs someone else to destroy the woods. She even taunts her original purpose "all who want to destroy the woods are doomed to worship them in the end".
Before, It made sense to destroy them because the cult was running amok and actively torturing Rok'zan. But in the good ending its... Its literally just Rok'zans dream and not a nightmare: a family spanning across the entire of Earth, Humans and eldritch beings coexisting, and the cult is not trying to kill her or attack her, theres no Stare of sacramencho either. Overall It seems like all net positive.... Which is something Nyan does not want, so right before Stardust leaves the cabin, she tingles her Bell to lure her away from the exit and towards the heart of the woods to ruin one of the good dreams Rok'zan has had.
However, im not sure what the deal is with the many silouettes floating on space around Earth. I thought Buck and Stardust were the Only immortal humans
@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078 huh, didn't look at it like that. That is a strong possibility. But there is that one part where Nyan is taking Buck before Stardust stops her with the spray bottle, love that scene, because its hinted that he would be taken to Nyan's dreams and haunt her so much that she would "scream" loud enough it would cause the god that is in eternal sleep to wake up and permanently end all realities. Something so terrible that not even Nyan wants.
And from what we saw of the first game, with the "darling" protagonist, Nyan can be haunted.
Also I agree with the silhouettes at the end, but in the ever expanding infinite cosmos it's not surprising that the gods themselves don't know everything. I'm sure as the second most powerful god and oldest, Nyan has several secrets she's kept from the others. Out of the 50 other gods, I doubt only one of them has the capability of offering immortality.
And i quite didn't get what the point was of burning the world was, the promise was made before Stardust fell in love with Goat mom, and this just ended the Black woods in one dream, in doesn't really accomplishes much burning the woods once
From Aunti Nyan Nyan i get why she did it, because she enjoys seeing her niece having nightmares so ruining her pleasant dream makes sense, and from Buck's side it makes sense since he is aiming at trying to either have Goatmom wake the primordial god, or hijack a different god to torment, but it doesn't makes sense for Stardust to do it, she gains nothing from it, and risk getting on Goatmom's bad side, also it ruins Muu's shipping
Nanni, Billy, and Kidd do describe her house on the final episode just like the abandoned and rotting place we always saw in every previous episode, but for Stardust the place looks in prime condition, so maybe the ideal world is actually fake, an hallucination that only Stardust sees, in reality her house is falling apart, and everyone else is being consumed by the woods either becoming fertilizer or succumbing to their primal desires, and it is possible that this realization could be what motivates Stardust to burn the woods, since in the end her happiness was a fabrication, her new loving life a fake one even within a dream
It's not the True Ending, that's the one with Stardust going outside (literally says "True Ending"). The burn the world ending is called the "Truth Ending", which is an interesting distinction.
Welp, looks like Auntie Nyan Nyan is back. Considering the creatirs at one point said Dreamer (aka Dog and the other two names that started with D in Sucker for Love 1 that I forgot) and Stardust will both be in part 3 and team up of I recall correctly, I wonder how things will go when we eventually see Sucker For Love 3.
Someone will attempt to rizz up The Eternal Sleeper
Better than infinity war

Like Abby from last of us 2
@@ReggieBland For real lol
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaait, does this mean that this is actually a prequel!?
Also why is it burning the world the real ending, is Stardust breaking up with Rhok'zi?
Didn't she forgive Muu, Rhok'zi, and Buck from spreading the woods at the end of chapter "???" ?
Isn't the real proof and show of mortal defiance to actually date Rhok'zi, since most gods think that dating humans isn't possible?
After all burning the woods doesn't accomplishes much, since Rhok'zi can just start another dream later and spread the woods again, all this does is hamper their relationship by having Stardust prematurely end their relationship last minute, providing Aunty Nyan Nyan and the other gods with an excuse to say that gods can't date humans, which is not something Stardust agrees with
Wait... is this how Buck went mad, Aunty Nyan Nyan keep coercing him into turning against Rhok'zi, until he went full villain, just like she is doing now with Stardust? but why is Stardust playing along, what is she getting out of this?
There's also a couple of odd things with the ending who did Aunty Nyan Nyan kill to get the bag of blood to perform the ritual? Buck is still cursed with permanence so it can't be him
If the Sacramen-cho stare stopped existing, and Buck is not a part of this dream, how come the cult of the thousand still exist? after all by episode 999 they no longer had any members apart from Buck and Kidd
How come the woods stopped increasing the desires of everyone outside of the cult too? the lore of the game was that everyone who enters the woods either dies, or is brainwashed, and it is something that just happens regardless of what Rhok'zi wants
Maybe the reason why Stardust burns the world in the true ending, is because she realizes that the happy ending is actually a lie, an illusion being shown to her by the Black Woods, just like when she transformed herself into a goat mutant, or when she had her arm broken by Billy, or was stabbed by Nanni, in here the reality may actually be more sinister
But the blackwoods make her see an ideal world, after all Nanni does describe her house as place falling apart, the wallpapers are peeling, the floorboards are rotting and giant rats are infesting the place, that's how we always see the house in all the previous episodes, except for episode ??? in which the house appears to Stardust in prime condition, however no one else sees it that way, thus Stardust is under the effects of brainwashing, being deluded into thinking that this time everything is ok, and is trying to break the illusion what leads her to burn the world, the only problem with this, is that we never see if Stardust realizes that she is hallucinating, or reflect on her reasons for burning the woods....
In an intersection of gameplay and narrative, the "truth" ending can represent that it's always an option. And in the infinity, eventually one is likely to try this option.
And yeah, it does have the element of "you cannot know for sure if the true end is true or if you've just been coerced/reshaped into taking Buck's place after he went rogue...or if you going rogue would be part of the cat's game."
This game makes a better horror than it does a dating sim
Makes me question the necessity of sim elements at all
Yeah I agree it's more of a horror game than a dating sim. It's just using a dating sim style framework to tell its story.
My Guess its because its a love story at heart at the same time Its a horror Game. Sure in this Game you dont really have the decision of which god you want to go out with like in the first, but thats ok.
It reminds me of "Slay the princess" in that regards. A horror Game, but also balances with love and romance elements
Honestly if we ever get sucker for love 3 then I suspect it would be a SMT style monster collector RPG.
I mean the series is already centered around talking with eldrich deities so it makes sense that in the next game you'll be able recruit a harem of eldritch cuties to help you on the quest to kill the Dimaurge or something.
Song of Saya is scary dating Sim horror before Sucker_for_love
Ahh.. Damn it. I really liked the happy ending. Damned nyantharlotep.
Spoilers
Muu is easily one of my favorite characters! Her, he, it's appearance and the entire dialogue just made me love it more. The fact that it was their doing that caused all of this to happen because of their obsessions is an absolutely brilliant level of writing.
That was delightful. Thanks for played, I quite enjoyed it.
True ending explanation: in the course of infinity everything that happens once has happened before infinite times.
Every single one of Roxanne’s immortals, through some way, eventually ends up like Buck. Not “psycho murder” mode, that was only one short phase in a long eternity. They become Buck as in they inevitably choose to stop going to dreams. They prefer the endless peaceful nothing over the dream.
Every immortal reaches that conclusion the same way eventually. That’s why all those people are floating around. The true true ending comes after many true endings, Stardust has realized that she no longer wants to live in dream and like Buck embraces the endless void. Roxanne even mentions that immortals like Buck can just accept the truth and stop. Everyone does eventually, and Buck in fact does.
Once you hit Aunty Nyan Nyan’s age you have billions of Bucks and billions of Stardusts floating around, and all sorts of immortals in between. Once they end up like that you never see them again. This is Roxanne’s first Stardust and Buck.
Further proof of this is the blood and firestarter in the basement. Stardust put that there. At some point she murdered a bunch of people and put that there because she wants to end it. She couldn’t bring herself to do it many times, in many times she turns away from that room and goes outside. The time she does the uprooting is the last time. The time she, like everyone else, betrays Roxy.
And she never visits another dream.
i just finished watching your first video earlier lol thankfully u uploaded this coz when i look for gameplay of the other chaps, there’s zero to none
Anyone know what is up with that locked door with the purple light coming out of it? Literally in EVERY episode and it seems... strange that it would be in the game yet nothing connected to it happens from what I have seen in the videos.
Correct me if I missed something.
ABG even tried entering it on the very final chapter and failed, seems like a very hidden easter egg
Yeah nobody's found a way to open that yet. Current theories are that it's connected to some future DLC.
Spoilers kind of....
If Nyanlathotep is not lying about her being a higher ranking God just trying to keep the connection between God's and Humans away from each other so The humans won't explore more and cause chaos which was shown on the (bad ending of epilogue I think since it was not considered as bad ending, more like an alternate reality what if)
Then I think there is a possibility that Nyanlathotep hates humans so much because of her first encounter(probably not the first encounter but you get what I mean).
The previous one where she is so shocked the player performed continuous counter spells to banish her+The fact the dude technically survived 3 Gods at that time and the human still banished her when she is trying to keep him alive.
It looks like auntie being salty to me.
But then again the ending where you smooch her on Third Date showed her eating you into the void, maybe she did fell in love but still needs to end your meddling so that the same tragedy won't befall her voluptuous Catmommy material.
God I am so Glad I am alive to see such masterpiece of a game with a story beyond perfect can't wait for the next one!
Is that Misato from Evangelion in the thumbnail?

Cool game i love it
Hey when’s the next video uploaded
HELP I AM UNIRONICALLY FALLING FOR BEST GIRL (CHAPTER ???)
Actual horror combined with trying to get with a goat god. I'm okay with this, but the end was sadly a ruse to show that the true ending needed to happen.
What's the truth ending about, to be exact?
Say, can anyone explain what the truth ending is about?
So what does it mean in the truth ending? Seriously im still confused
Think the part about the Black Woods consuming the world was actually literal. Burning it meant half or more of the world would too, and since all in it can’t meaningfully leave, all will be brought to its celestial/eldritch origins.
@@andytrinh8664 and what would those origins be? Cause the floating people still made it weird
And why would stardust do this? Not that I don't see the issue
@@HypaTaigaWhy would you go back towards the sound of the bell when you got a happy true ending?
She may have been just curious.
@@crazylab126 That's not what happened. There's a chapter break at 2:12:27. Once you're at the door you can choose to either go outside or come back, not do both. The way it was edited made it seem like Stardust looked outside, surveyed the happy crowd, and then went back in to burn it all. I think the choice is a concession to the fact that you initially signed up for a vengeance trip and some players might still want to complete that vengeance because the world created in Rok'zi's dream isn't actually real.
I don't understand the true ending.
I 100%'ed cringed at the "100%'ing" part
SOMEONE ACTUALLY F*ING WROTE THAT IN MY GOOOOOOOD

Fun fact: Despite being known as "the thousand", we do not actually see a thousand cultists in the game. In fact, we don't even see 900
