This video has some issues with the audio - you might hear some faint popping sounds throughout the video. I think it's mostly noticeable if you raise the volume up. Hopefully it's not too distracting.
While the bosses might not appear to be super impressive or difficult (although I like the idea of fighting various creatures of the sea, and their designs are pretty cool), everything else about Dave the Diver is top-notch.
You do 2 things in this game. At day you explore the sea, catch the fish and solve the mysteries of the Blue Hole and enigmatic Sea People. During the evening you manage the sushi restaurant - hire and train workers, unlock new recipes, choose the menu and then serve the customers. As you play, you constantly unlock something new so it won't get boring quickly.
I love how unique and colorful all the characters are, and the pixel-art cutscenes are pretty cool. - Hry

Hello. I'm playing Dave the Diver today. I took note of this game a long time ago, but just recently tried it for the first time. And I had a lot of fun. This game is actually great.
Could you give Blacksea Odyssey a try? It's a more niche game that I think deserves more attention. While it is difficult, the bosses are all very unique and grand in scope. It's only less than $15 too.

The idea of bosses, in a game where your health bar is actively decaying is just the most metal idea i have ever seen in any game. Even if the bosses are rather simplistic

A fun fact about Great White Shark Klaus is that sharks don’t actually sleep. Ever. If a shark is completely still in the water they are actually dead, as water needs to continually flow through their gills to get enough oxygen. Sharks do enter a trancelike state sometimes though, where they move in a straight line until they either bump into something or “wake up” after having rested their brains.

Funny enough, the Lusca is an actual Caribbean monster that was said to be found in the blue holes near an island in the Bahamas.

Said it once I’ll say it again Dave not being in better shape after all of the swimming is down right criminal.
But all that diving is exhausting. Dave will need a bucket of fried chicken for every meter swam.

That first boss is an absolute rip of the squid boss level and puffer fish boss level from Donkey Kong Country Returns and Tropical Freeze.
