Our online application was rejected because of unsigned forms and we had not uploaded PCC, the mail we received says that an application must meet the requirements of section 10 and 11 of IRPR which says that the application must be made in writing. Do we need to submit the application physically? Why can't we resubmit the application online?
Hello Jade, my name is Walid from Algeria back in August 26 I submitted my permanent residency application under fsw program with crs score of 513 am located outside Canada. On January 19 my application was accepted and I received passport request letter. I have a quick question when you think I will be able to travel to Canada.

Thanks for this amazing information! When it comes to sponsorship outside of Canada, how do you go about signing documentation if the two people are in different countries ? For example I am in Uk and my fiancé to be in Mississauga. I’m guessing electronic signature is not allowed.
One person signs the document, scans it to the other person who signs, and then we upload it to the online application.

I have a fiancé in canda, she is a Canadian citizen, we are planning to get married in few months time, am in NIGERIA right now, she just sponsor her dad for the super visa, while filling the application, she made a mistake my saying she is sponsoring someone else as well, that was a total error as she is not, the application was refuse because her income is not enough to sponsor two people, so want to appeal if approve can that effect her sponsoring me

I had gotten my IELTS (got band 8) and WES assessment (two degrees) done in 2021 for PR purpose. Should I attach these docs (IELTS and WES report) with my SOWP application to show to the examiner that I have relevant skillset and qualifications.
Can attaching these documents debilitate my case? Please advice.
PS - my file is not refused in the past, we were dating from 6 years and got married Jan 2021. We have sufficient funds as well.
Hi Alka,
Sometimes showing that you are a skilled individual who will be able to gain employment is helpful to having these applications approved. Sometimes even if you can get a job offer from Canada to show that there’s a job for you, it can help with approval.

My husband has a PR and I came to canada on study permit. I got married 1 year back in canada but my status is not updated in passport. There are 2 discrepancies in my passport
1-> Place of birth in my passport and birth certificate is different
2- >There is spelling mistake about my father's surname on my passport.
Should I apply for PR with my current passport by giving letter of explanation about it or should I get my passport updated? Is there a chance of rejection if I apply with my old passport ?
Usually IRCC doesn’t depend on the marital status in your passport so it should be a non issue. For the birth certificate, I would try to get an amended certificate, if you can't, a letter of explanation in the application could be helpful.

Who pays the application fees related to Spousal Sponsorship when it's an outland Spousal Sponsorship, the Sponsor or the Primary Applicant?
It doesn't matter. As long as it's paid.
Hey there, just a quick and important question. I am going to submit Spousal PR application for my spouse. I haven’t received the PR card yet. It’s approved and will arrive soon. Only have COPR. So can I submit the application with COPR Instead of PR card along with a strong explanation?? The reason why I want to submit without PR card is that my husband’s work permit is expiring in next 2 days and don’t have enough time to wait for the PR card to receive in mail
The application asks for the PR card, as it shows that you retain your PR status. Applying with just the COPR and a letter of explanation is a risk, they could return it back to you for incomplete documents. The safer bet is to change his status to a visitor, and then apply for his work permit once you have the PR card, you can file the WP online to get it more quickly.
Hello mam. I would like to know after decision has been made in online status. What does it means? Is it approved or what? My application status was updated on 9th April into decision made but no correspondence letter received yet.

The background questions will ask about any previous refusals. Please also note that if you’ve already applied to sponsor your spouse/ be sponsored there is usually a waiting time until you can reapply.
Thanks for the information. I submitted my wife's Spousal sponsorship application last week. After watching your video, I have realized that I missed the name and date of birth, the name and complete address of the photography studio, the date the photograph was taken.

Yes, there is a bar on sponsorship for a period of time after having been sponsored/ sponsoring a spouse before you can sponsor again.

Usually, if you’re invited to participate in pre-arrival services, it generally means that you are almost approved.

Mam my study permit expired on 6th feb but I applied for extension for the same on 5th feb . I had to renew it to complete my ongoing study . So i am on implied status , can i work part time or not ?
Hi Pratak, since you applied prior to your status expiring, you are permitted to continue studying and working (maximum of 20 hours per week). according to your study permit document.

It’s 95% right now and IRCC is just waiting on Certificate of No Criminal Conviction from Hong Kong (Criminal Record Background Check).
Hong Kong Police contacted us to arrange Courier to pick up the result and courier it to IRCC instead of then sending it because their mail delivery service in Hong Kong is not sending Air Mail right now due to COVID so now we had to arrange all the shipping.
All we want to do is upload our DHL Courier Tracking# and give them a heads up it’s on its way because they’ve been waiting for over 2 months and we were just now told of the delay.
...or does it even matter and we should just wait and not worry about letting IRCC know of the status?

Had a query.
1) Once the spousal outland PR applicantion is submitted for a spouse(principal applicant), what is the maximum time for which the Sponsor can leave Canada. Is there a link anywhere on the website which mentions about this.
Note: Spousal outland PR applicantion was submitted based on court marriage.
2) In case there are some religious rituals that need to be performed in the upcoming months for which the sponsor needs to leave Canada, does that need to be mentioned in the application. If yes, where to mention, in a supporting letter and in form imm 5532?

If the sponsor is Canadian, they can leave indefinitely, if the sponsor is a PR, then they need to be resident in Canada, as IRCC will ask for proof of this.

Check the travels form, it’s a new form as of last week and needs to be filled. Be sure to check everything before you file to ensure it’s not returned again!

Will my employment status or history in Canada affect our application?
Hi there,
It depends if you’re the sponsor or applicant. The sponsor should usually be employed or have significant funds to file for sponsorship. If you’re being sponsored as the applicant from inside Canada, you do not necessarily need to have status. Same thing for out of Canada, you do not need to be employed.
What if I am still living with my parents? And unemployed at the moment? Will i get denied to be a sponsor?

Your credit score does not affect your application, if you’re working in Canada, then this is sufficient for spousal sponsorship income.

My common-law partner is married in the Philippines but they have been separated but not legally for almost 15 years and we have been cohabiting for almost 10 years and im going to migrate to Canada is there a chance for me to get him to Canada as common law partner?
Yes. According to the Canadian government, you can sponsor your common in law partner if you live together for at least 1 year. Be sure to gather enough information like, address, pictures and financial transactions to prove that you both have been together all this time.

@@pabainza3335 Isn't he divorced? He needs to be divorced before applying to PR (Permanent Residency). The divorce needs to be done before applying, since canadian government has no problem with divorced people, otherwise the process will be refused. For more information:
