In my first video on this topic, most of my roots were tightened and maintained, even doing great after a couple washes. However, I had some that wanted to keep unraveling, so I had to bring in reinforcements to get them boys togetha! 😂

I just plaited my loose hair this morning and didn’t know what to do with the ends that I couldn’t plait.
Now I’m going to try to crochet it, as I am not good at using the hooks.

1:00 you do it wrong. I just learned that you have to do a 3-strand braid with your losing hair but without the dreadlock. If you do with the big dreadlock, the 2 small strands will not morph with the big dread but rather separate from it and you have to do it again (ok i never use crochet, i don't like how it change the locks). With my hairs, it always do this. If you do a little braid with your losing hairs, it will later morph with the big dread when the hairs grow. It will look more natural as you will not see dreadlocks separation on your scalp and the dreadlocks' roots will be healthier. The first one-two month with this little braid is not so beautiful but you can turn the braid around your dreadlock.
Hi there. I do a variation of all of these methods, including the one you just mentioned. The ones I mentioned in this video are what work best for ME, so I am sharing MY experiences.
Im sure there are THOUSANDS of different way to do this and many other things. If it works for the person, then it is not "wrong."
I will say this once more (as I did in a previous reply to another of your comments) ... we are all very different and unique and what works for one person might not work for another.
I am simply sharing what works best for ME in hopes that it will help someone. I am not forcing anyone to do anything, just sharing life experiences of my Ikamba.
If you watch my most recent loc update, you will see that these things INDEED worked for me! 😄 My roots are so strong and healthey and thriving like never before! 🙌🏿 I'm so glad I took the time to observe andlearn about my hair a bit more, and to use these techniques on my it as well.
