hello again I was watching your video and I'm doing research on comb coils twist before I get my done, and my is fine, and it's a reason, because I'm white, black, cuban,Blackfoot Indian, Cherokee Indian,and Russian and when I wash my hair it get very curly, and when my dry it start to get tangled, and I have to spray water in my hair to Untangle my hair, and your is gorgeous I will keep you posted later
Hi love! I want to do a video soon comparing comb coils, twists, and braids (and maybe another one for the other different ways to start locs like interlocking and instant locking).
The way you just described your hair (very curly and tangling easily) makes it a GRET candidate for locs that will have no problem forming and maturing easily. Now I'm not saying there won't be any hard times, for we all encounter them ... but your hair will be SO FUN to watch mature! 😍 Do you have an instagram?
I have low-density fine hair and I started my locs with 96 now 100 locs, do you think that was enough? I did them myself? I also want my locs to be small and the shrinkage, oh my Lord. I started out with hair to my waist and it is barely touching my shoulders lol! I am six weeks in and already starting to see some budding, I love it.
Oh wow! Great job Barbara for putting all of those locs in yourself! I think you did a wonderful job choosing the amount to put in for the hair type you described.
I believe you will get the desired size you were going for, and as they mature and thicken up, you will have great coverage. It might even seem like you have a higher density.
I love the maturing process of locs as well! My son's locs (my 2 year old who's locs I just started last month in March) are budding all over the place and I'm in love all over again! 😍

A question - I'm wondering as you are semi- freeform, do you still retwist your locs sometimes? If so, how often? I love locs most when the roots are grown out and thick, but also when the length of the loc is thick too and can still be groomed and styled like yours.
Like you I loved Lauryn Hill's locs which were so nicely formed and regal. My other favourite is Valerie June, whose locs and aesthetics in general are amazing. Unfortunately though I'm not really feelin' the music...I only really liked two songs 🤷🏾♀️
Can you make an educational video about different types of locs and how they are formed and which hair types each kind are best for?

I remember seeing her locs and being in love, not knowing who she was. Never heard any of her music, but yes ... I just fell in loc love again! Haha
So, I don't ever twist my hair, but I DO do some loc maintaneces, only because I have hair that grows away from my roots in a lot of areas. I'm in the process of editing two different loc maintanece videos, and I shall tag you when I drop them! 😊
