These do-it-yourself products were not available when these "long-haired" women were growing out their hair. Likewise with all of these product lines. These "natural hair lines" did not exist. The key is proper care through delicate handling and regular hydration. That is all.
These fads have no effect on me, anymore. However, I wish women, particularly black women, would quit falling for marketing.

'Putting peoples hair at risk' you're very right, that's why I don't share any diy's I have not tried yet. Most of my diy's I make sure to use for a while before sharing with others. It's ok to tell people how products make your own hair feel so they know that it may not necessarily work for them because of our different hair types, simple👌, Not to make people believe that a particular product is the Almighty Formula for hair growth. I would not advise that you wash your hair everyday maybe once a week but if you are into activities that make you sweat a lot then maybe twice a week.
