I have not seen Geritol since I was a child in the Caribbean - we had geritol, ferrol, phosperine, sulfur, bitters, tilly - all of these were awesome for health and hair!

It worked for me. Grandmother told me to take for iron. She swears by it! Everything grew… Hair, Nails and BELLY! I was pregnant within the first three months. Wasn’t even trying to get pregnant. I have not touched them since! Now my tubes are tied… I’m going to try it again!

You can get pregnant if you are not careful. Geritol do not and can not make you get pregnant. It's a vitamin.

I remember this, and with all honesty, I think it may have helped me to get pregnant with my son. The reason is because of the iron in it. I wouldn't take Geritol now because I see that it has sugar, alcohol, brewers yeast, caramel color, and a few other additives that is not necessary, yet they still put it in there for taste. I prefer Mary Ruth's Liquid Vitamins. They make me feel amazing, turned my hair jet black again and my energy is up and thriving. I'm 48 years young. I was convinced when I saw all the positive reviews on Amazon. Now all the vitamins I take are from Mary Ruth's Vitamins. I should get paid by the company because I promote them so much! Lol. There are healthier options then Geritol.

I haven't used Geritol since they changed the formula, about 20 yrs ago. Yes, despite the nay nayers, it wasn't a myth that women were more susceptible at conceiving, it's because of the boost in their iron healthy blood. The makers were forced to change that because it resulted in a spike of healthy Afro babies. But, that part is on the hush 🤫
Have you ever researched the symptoms of Iron poor blood? It will surprise you....loss of hair is one of them.

It also has alot to do with your genes most of the time if mama/daddy got hang time then so will you no one product/vitamin can grow your hair down your back. It has to come from within so those of you who struggle with hair growth just know you are still beautiful regardless!
I agree! Genes does play a role. For instance, both my parents have really thin hair so I have to do extra! And my hair breaks really easily. Finding the right routine is essential!

Most of the women on both sides of my fam don’t have long hair and are confused as to where I get mines from. @supakid628 you may but you must be careful with iron intake. Taking unnecessary iron may lead to hair loss and complications with your overall health.
Your correct what works for you may not work for someone else!! Everybody's hair and scalp are different! I have been taking geritol for many, many years as a multi supplement, and the results are completely different!! Others do need to know how it doesn't flow as well. It does have all the required vitamins for a healthy body, but some women need more of a certain nutrient than others!! I have 4c, very coily hair, and find that I need extra things required to grow my hair!! Your DNA and mine, as well as others, are different , so those who have more of a certain ethnic backgrounds will probably make the grow rapidly , while those of more African ethnicity grow normal, or even slower! Everyones hair does grow, and it's awesome that you found that this works for you. I'm just speaking from the other side of the coin that has been taking it for years. I enjoy geritol because it gives me a lot of energy, and for times that I miss meals, it's effective!! Thanks for your view, though !! Enjoy your supplement!! 😊

In my 50 years of "doing" hair, I've learned the type , texture and porosity do NOT effect growth rate. Many folk with thick, course, oily, type 4 hair are just not aware of their true hair length because they don't know how to stretch the hair w/o damage and breakage. In addition to this, single strand knots, coils and zig-zag hair pattern require special handling to prevent breakage when styling. I wore locs for 5 years while nourishing my hair regularly, then carefully combed them out. With lots of time and TLC I've maintained my waist length, loose natural hair for over a year and counting.
,Different strokes for different folks and their health perspectives and remember each person is unique. 😂
Very true however I have seen many subsaharan Africans with 4c hair that have long and thick hair that grows just fine. I noticed that black men even those with 4c hair their tends to grow faster.

If you live in NC, you can find the pill form of Geritol easier than liquid form (if searching in brick & mortars). Had to find liquid form in Ga.

Just ordered some. I have low iron but never put 2 and 2' together because I have always had a low iron problem but recently my hair started thinning and falling out. I started taking iron and vit D3. Hair has sopped falling and I keep my hair twisted and wear a head scarf. I also put growth oil on my scalp. It's been almost three months and I am seeing progress. Hair growth - Have at least 2 eggs for breakfast. Eggs are a nice source of protein, which helps to increase hair growth. Before breakfast try to eat one cup of yogurt. Wow.. your hair is beautiful. My doctors have said that I was anemic but never suggested genital for the iron deficiency. I think that also explains the thinning of the hair.

This is too funny I was recently thinking I need to start taking Geritol again. I started taking it when I was a teenager and every now and then since adulthood. My brother was about to stop refereeing the girls basketball team because he said "he didn't have the energy anymore to run up and down the court." I told him to start taking some Geritol he laughed at first saying that's for old people but he took it. He said "he would have never been able to get through the season without it he was full of energy." I have lots of energy but I feel like I could take some every other day I like the liquid it gets in your system faster.
I think your video is awesome, but not everyone will have the same opinions. Since the pandemic I had folliculitis and hair loss. I am a certified natural health consultant and I think you're an amazing influencer. Geritol is a good product, but if you're not anemic the extra iron can cause constipation. This video is very informative and if anyone viewing this video wants to take Geritol ( tAke a blood test and ask your primary doctor if adding in this supplement is okay). Noone needs a prescription for vitamins, but to avoid taking more minerals and vitamins talk to a medical professional.
If you have a period chances of iron overload is slim. Nurse here.

Thank you. I will look into the product. I have to be careful with taking iron in supplement form because I have experienced an allergic reaction (I usually do so via iron rich foods to be safe), but I might do a test with once every few days or so or once a week and see how my system reacts.

I don't need my hair to grow the length is fine. I just need it healthy. I think that may be where the confusion comes in. Vitamins and minerals give the hair what it needs to be healthy. Whether it grows long or not is dependent on genes. I dont need to worry about length. I have a lot of body to make up for it. But its very dry no matter what hair product I use. So I will try this to see if enrich my hair from the inside out. But what appeal to me with geritol I remembered it from my childhood, my parents use to take the liquid form but I can do the pill. And most importantly it's one pill thar gives me everything. I'm tired of having to search for the vitamins and minerals and taking multiple pills. This one's easy. Thanks for sharing

I used to take geritol and it started to be difficult to find. When I took it, my hair and nails flourished. I also noticed I little bit of weight gain. I just recently found MaryRuth vitamins and I also want to try black girl vitamins.

gerotol is a great vitamin supplement but if you have hypothyroidism please have your blood tested for iorn levels before using it because too much iorn in your systen could make your thyroid condition worse also it can make you crazy constapated especially if you have hypothyroid or are just otherwise prone to it
