One thing to keep in mind is that the tuning is going to give you the best poweR. Its doesn't matter if you have a budget turbo kit or the most expensive one. In the end if your tuning is junk your power will be junk

How does the manifold compare to the sheepy twin scroll one? I got the later on a EP3 civic (euro version of the civic si) and the manifold sits low making the turbo sit too close to the gear box, I had trouble trying to get the turbo oil drain run down with bends or kinks to clear the gear box.

I have a 97 civic with a k20a2 swap and similar motor mods to this rsx. Its NA now and thinking of going turbo with a goal of 400-450. The real question is What about the Transmission?

Planning to push 500+ hp on a build head with stock block and flex fuel e85.
Honestly, i just wanna know can this be done on an automatic rsx. I know there’s a lot of hate about turboing an auto… but i dont feel like selling this for a type-s. My k20a3 is in great condition with only 107k miles.
You’ll need a high stall torque converter and a A2 head swap but it’s tricky to do with an automatic, sometimes it’s not worth the hassle

There is no real pressure on the return so the stock line is even good enough.

I have a GSR stock, what kind of pistons rods and compression ratio to get a budget turbo and make power. Do I need to sleeve? I hope I can take it to you guys to tune
Stock sleeve built GSR motors have made 500-600 with Humble before.. gotta check out their old vids.
First off... google. Compression ratio depends on your power goal and fuel and preferred boost curve. H beam rods (I beam works well too but $$). Sleeves or css if you go over 400hp and plan to daily. 550ish stock sleeve if its a drag car and doesnt matter if it blows as long as it lasts for the season.
Over 400, youll need to look at your valvetrain as well

Hi, I have a question: what does is cost to tune a honda? beside the hondata s300 ecu, the hondata software I see is free to download, why people use chrome or neptune? I also see Honda tuning suite is free
You need a hondata chipped ecu to use the hondata software. Professional tuners dont use chrome or neptune or tuning suite because they suck at quality engine management. Makes no sense to build a motor and cheap out on the management that runs it. Its how you blow shit up

Im not sure about the compatability with tuningsuite. They software is brand new and has a hell of a lot of bugs at the moment. Chrome isnt exactly good but is still better than tuningsuite. I wouldnt risk it. People run hondata because its the best management without spending a shit load to get a motec stand alone or aem stand alone. Hondata gives free software but you need the chip soldered into the ecu to run it. Humble installs hondata chips for cheap and does a very good job. Are you d b or k series

You can find cheap ebay “performance” chips that are worse than what an actual tuner can do. Something as simple as static compression changing with mileage will wildly vary the quality of the tune. Aka dont. And im not sure of any other chips for a d series that are worth the time other than hondata. Also no point in throwing money at tuning a d series unless youve done extinsive work like cam/valvetrain/maybe intake mani or boost
