  • The Guess Who perform "Shakin' All Over" live in Toronto in 1983.
When you move in right up close to me
That's when I get the chills all over me
    Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
    Shakin' all over
Just the way you say goodnight to me
Brings the feelin' on inside of me
    Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
    Shakin' all over
    ----- short instrumental break -----
    Quivers down my backbone
I got the shakes in my thigh bone
I got the shivers in my knee bone
    Shakin' all over
Well, you make me shake and I like it, baby
You make me shake and I like it, baby
    Well, shake, shake, shake
    Shake, shake
    Shake, shake, shake
    Shake, shake, shake

Also here is an interesting fact:
Performed many times by The Who, (sometimes in a medley with "Spoonful"), perhaps most famously at Woodstock in 1969 and on Live at Leeds in 1970. In Randy Bachman's autobiography, when he met Who bass player John Entwistle, he was told that people constantly got The Who and The Guess Who mixed up. Tired of being yelled at for not playing the song, The Who started to just to keep the crowd happy. Bachman responded that The Guess Who had the same reasons for having to play My Generation

Did you know "Shakin' All Over" was originally written and released by Johnny Kidd and The Prates in the UK (circa 1960) and was a hit in Europe

The best ever version ever recorded was by Johnny Kidd and the Pirates who also did a far better stage act than the Guess who. Allegedly Johnny Kidd wrote the number in 25 minutes whilst taking a break during a gig.

Never saw JK & the Pirates, but TGW show w/ Cummings was always great. And their "Shakin'" was DEFINITELY an upgrade from the original.
