- hey ppl! i'm back with another video, this time themed around everyone's favourite professor:) i had this one suggested to me a while back so hope you all enjoy it!
also for those interested, i apologies for the lack of uploads of late although i've been very busy with school work. that's the summer holidays started now however, so will be trying to get videos up more regularly! thank's for being so patient with me:)

A part of me hates Voldemort for cursing the job so he couldn’t stay on for more than a year but if he hadn’t, we probably wouldn’t have had him at Hogwarts in the first place. 🧐

Fun Fact: The reason Lupin was asleep on the train is because the date was 1st September and the night before there was a full moon and the reason he ate chocolate a lot is because it was poisonous to dogs and he wanted to get rid of that side of him
He should’ve eat onion if he really wanted to get rid of dog side of him, I feel like it’s more poisonous for dogs
And also he looked tired not only bcz he had just awoken from sleep (well u r'nt anyway tired AFTER sleeping{waking up from sleep} but anyways) but also bcz the night before he had become a werewolf and he was exhausted from the last night

One of the things that makes Lupin a great teacher is that je actually taught the students something useful.
Did Lockhard too. For example that his favourite colour is lilac.
Lupin actually made it fun and gave hands on lessons! Everyone else just gave boring lectures!
If I remember correctly so did Quirrel, fake Moody and Snape. The only bad DADA teachers were Lockhart and Umbridge
he also made it fun for them!! i mean first lesson being something that will not only help the kids confront their fears but also have them all laughing with joy? and he played music! best teacher hands down

i had a teacher who my mom would constantly accidentally call "professor lupin." it fit, he was incredibly kind and patient, and he was honestly the only person i really *had* in middle school. more teachers need to be like him and lupin.

Lupin was literally always doing the right thing, despite his constant struggles. And he still lived poor, was fired from his job, had to hide from the public and was killed right after he was married.
The books only emphasise how tragic his story was. It's just so disappointing.
It's sad and tragic, the amount of prejudice, pain, loss and trauma Lupin went through....In the line of exploring real world issues and themes in the wizarding world, JKR said that she based Remus' werewolf condition on HIV and the way society and people treated them. The books, especially in books 6 and 7 deal with how Lupin was scared to be married with Tonks and was terrified when he found out that she was pregnant-he was terrified that the child will be ostracized from society just like he was. In the end Harry becomes Teddy's(the name of Remus and Tonks' son)godfather.

Barry Crouch Jr: besides the obvious problem of being a death eater, he was a liar, torturer, and psychological menact to school children
Umbridge: a corrupt politican who tortured and gaslit her students while carrying out extreme gentrification and micromanagement. Also by putting her faith in the prime minister rather than Harry, she doomed the wizarding world from preparing for Voldemorts attack.
Snape: pretty good teacher aside from his anger issues and passive agressive nature.
Lupin: literally a god compared to the others

When you realise the only good defence against the dark arts teachers the students had was:
Lupin, Harry potter, and Mad eye moody(barty crouch junior) because they actually prepared people for the outside world.
Something I like is that the night before we see lupin on the train was a full moon which means he was tired from having to transform which is why he didn't wake up for so long

If you think about it, from that point Lupin picks Neville, looking further down the movies, he gains confidence in himself. When Moody asks him about a curse, he still struggles but gives an answer on first time of asking. He still learns as he goes along but consistently.
