Proof that snape isnt a bully/hater: 1. He's trying to cut the normal joyful atmosphere so he can warn the students about the fact that lupin is a werewolf and they should be prepared to encounter one. (Which happened to three students) 2. Umbrige was ABSOLUTELY out of line by interrogating Snape in front of his entire class. Ron (who was the yougest of many VERY INTELLIGENT wizards) should have understood how horrific her actions were. 3. Snape didnt exactly creep up behind them. He gave them exactly 30 seconds to focus on their work which was most likely a test since no one else was chatting. 4. Snape was tasked with preventing unauthorized wandering of students considering the fact that a wizard who managed to ESCAPE ASKABAN is loose... So of course since all the staff KNOW the fake news that Harrys parents were betrayed by him... And then suddenly Potter is breaking the rule designed to KEEP HIM SAFE.... Of course hes upset at harry! Hes half lilly! He should be smarter than that. (Not a hater) 5. Snape is the Half Blood Prince and doesnt have to answer to anyone. However, confidential information is obviously not for students... So why is harry asking?? 6. Look at Alans eyes when he says, "Do you have any idea how serious this is." Hes not portraying disgust. He is portraying extreme disappointment and concern. They were literally in the whomping Willow...... And to deflect from his concern for the fact that Lily's child could have been impaled repeatedly by those branches, He made it sound like he was more worried about the tree. And there you go. Im barely at 1:27 and I have no further points. My case is solid. Closing statement: Snape is an absolute genius. He is smarter than anybody in the school. Even smarter than Dumbledore. Which is why Dumbledore entrusted him with all of the secrecy. Snape knew well that students living in easy mode are more likely to bully students who seem a little out of place... And so, Snape made sure to not connect emotionally with Harry to teach him to be nicer in a way that Snape and probably a few others have not.
