i love that, at least now from what i know, in this game, laser weapons SUCK after a certain point
eventually the enemies start wiseing up to your gimmicks, and adding *smoke. armor.* it COMPLETELY ruins laser damage to almost entirely nothing
cram and advanced canons are the way to go, stack the fuck out of armor, be small and agile, and then eventually size yourself up a bit, so you can use particle cannons and super compacted railguns (layering them over each other so they fire in bursts of like 20 shots at a time) not sure if it's a cheesy strart but it works stupidly well
or just, build them all in separate spots if stacking them over each other is too cheaty for you
