    I did large wire drawings/sculptures for my senior art show. this video is dope and soldering is such a good idea. will definitely be trying this myself. GJ

    Why not hammer the nails through the paper, wire it up using the paper below as a template and then just rip the paper out through the design after? would get rid of the pencil lines too :)

    You arent supposed to molt the solder on the iron, but heat up the components and then touch the gap with the solder

      Zciurus that’s very true it’s a cold Solder, but does it really matter? I mean it’s not for an electrical circuit which a cold solder would interfere with

    but I would tell you try this with the glowing wire which you used for making the key holder.
    or else give the wood a black finish so the silver wire will be more enhanced in looks

    This is a nice piece, I wonder why you didn't paint or dark stain the wood before starting as a darker colour back would make the wire pop out more? Could you not have put the nails through the paper template then just ripped it off once all the nails were in the wood?

    Nice work! You could also just hammer the nails through the paper (no cutting necessary) and then ... tear the paper off! This leaves no pencil lines on the wood which makes the finishing much easier.

  • @Anwy_
    @Anwy_ Před 8 lety

    it looks really cool, but why aren't you heating up the nails instead of the metal that you are using to hold everything together. I'm not an expert on using tools like that, but i just know for using it ones, that if you heat the metal and make it melt first it's pretty easy to burn the metal, or else i just suck XD
