The Wire Skull - The Head Armature - Head Sculpture

In this demonstration you will learn how to make a head armature by observing and creating wire human skull. This is the first step in the process for sculpting a head. You will learn how to simplify the human skull into a linear sculpture that will be constructed to support the next step of the process which is applying plaster and modeling clay to the armature (wire skull).
Materials:
12-inch high strong sculpture armature stand (assembled)
22-gauge galvanized steel wire
caliper tool
6-8 inch long nose plier
6-8 inch diagonal wire cutters

I need the name of the clay you use

Hi! Typically I use a terra cotta (red clay) to sculpt/model. Is a regular water-based clay for pottery. Terra cotta is really smooth and good for detail.
