Optimistic that CAPCOM is going to see the overwhelming answer for a remake in last week's survey and hoping we get "WE DO IT" 2.0, and "H" announces that Code Veronica remake has been greenlit.
I just did the survey a few days ago asking for a Code Veronica remake, if it's greenlit I just hope it's done by the same team that did RE4R. Out of all the classic RE games I think CV needs it the most, I'd love to see a new take on the music, story and characters especially Alexia who is now my favorite RE villain. i want remake Alexia to be a combination of the original, the good parts of Darkside Chronicles and the S. D. Perry novel (where she has more powers) on top of adding new material that fleshes out her character. The fact that she left just as much of an impact on the series as Wesker is insane, she has my favorite virus ever. I can't believe how criminally underrated Alexia is and she deserves to be popular like other RE villains, she should give characters like Wesker and Lady Dimitrescu a run for their money.

I would love to see that as this is a personal favourite of mine, it was long, it was difficult, it had a good story, soundtrack, the Ashford twins and Wesker, good boss fights etc but it seems as though most people prefer Resi 2 and 3 over this, this actually isn't a game that's talked about very much compared to the others, if it had been given the number 3 as was originally intended then I think people would view it differently but as it stands it is not a numbered entry and as such most people seem to see it as a throwaway title which is a damn shame, I can't see this being on Capcoms remake list

Alexia is so underrated, it's criminal that she isn't popular like other RE villains. I really wish they would flesh out her character more, had her live and she left just as much of an impact on the series as Wesker yet he got to live until RE5. In the Code Veronica novel by S. D. Perry Alexia has even more powers like telepathy as long as the person she's reading the mind of is infected, telekinesis, advanced awareness and can project her mind to places as if she's there, she was able to see Chris and Wesker on Rockford Island when it was thousands of miles away. she was even awake for almost a year using her telepathy to examine Alexander's mind and she let herself out of cryostasis. I love how she's written in that book but I hate her boss fight in it. I'm not even saying this out of nostalgia, I got into RE because of Village and went to go look at the older games. Man I was missing out.
I have to disagree with the theme being the 'best'...I think it's 2nd to William Birkin 2nd fight. I enjoyed fighting Alexia slightly more than some of the Birkin fights (4th/5th).
I don't know. It's definitely one of my favorites, but I still have to give the top spot to RE3 for me. It's probably tied with REmake for 2nd place though. Funny enough, I've probably played both RE2 and RE6 the most even though they're not my favorites.
I also have fond memories of it, but it hasn’t aged too well. Being one of the first RE game to ditch pre-rendered backgrounds for 3D rendered environments and objects, the game can look quite outdated at times. The game is also quite long and features quite a bit of backtracking through somewhat linear areas. I think the game will really benefit from a remake similar to the one RE2 got if Capcom keeps the core elements and plot intact but redesigns parts of the map to make traversing the world more interesting. Code Veronica already has memorable boss fights and locations with good atmosphere, however I think the technology at the time limited it from reaching greater heights.

True story I bought a Sega Dreamcast specifically for this game because it was supposed to be a “Dreamcast” exclusive until they essentially made the directors cut with Code Veronica X on PS2 lol. I don’t regret buying the Dreamcast though, the system was awesome! I need to find another one to play again .

I always wondered something about antagonists in Resident Evil like Wesker and Alexia. Can they revert back to their original Human forms, or will they always be hideous monsters?
Alexia is shown briefly back in her human form and then transforms back into this form when she confronts Chris and Clarie later so she can go from Form 1 to human and back again at least, no idea if she could from her later transformations where she's far more mutated.

As far as a long fight with Alexia would play against him, Albert Wesker is smart, he knew it and that's why withdraws.
