Just invest in index, (Sensex/nifty). Focus on increasing your primary income. We know India and it’s economy has the most potential 18k nifty surely will cross 1lakh in 10 years, index me SIP karo and forget about tension/stress enjoy 15% CAGR. As your income increases your returns will also increase exponentially…. There is NOTHING called short term investments that is called trading, you waste a lot of time and effort take stress etc…. Rather use that effort on increasing salary
High of Nasdaq in 2000 took 15 years to cross. High of Japanese index in 1980s yet to be crossed. Chinese market high in 2008 ... Yet to be crossed. Brazilian market still waiting to cross it's all time high, which was around 10 years ago. There are many examples. Index investing is just a hype. Index investing will help only when you can time the market, which is not possible for everyone. So learning is better. Investing is not easy neither trading.
Very good advice. It suits the fund manager to tell people to stick for the long term because they are getting paid no matter the fund does good or not. People find the long term notion comforting because it is a lazy approach as you don't have to do anything.
