So, whenever we are about to get frustrated by this comparison, the starting line concept along with the idea to focus on our own journey of life can provide a rational way to stay calm and satisfied! I also noticed this when I was in services. Leave the senior juniors, Group A officers compared their savings, assets with me, a Group C soldier. My parents were both working and have achieved a lot which gives me absolute financial freedom. My officer IC used to say in informal gathering that he has more money in PF, i felt- why is he comparing apples to oranges! You were about to say that 'I have seen this in services also' 😁

My senior used to compare with me and used to make my life miserable. I have generational wealth and house near workplace. He used to say this guy has a palace even if it is a 30x40 site private home and I was planning to buy bmw in corporate senior can see what you browse and always used to mentally torture me by saying he will buy a bmw by making me feel even tough I am working hard he wants to put his insecurities onto me.
