Oh, this was such a fun Vlog! 😂😂😂😂 poor Jules! You really put yourself through the ringer there 😂😂😂 I read Shark Heart very recently and DNFed it after the wife said goodbye to her husband. I was BAWLING. I really loved the book up to that but found it really heavy. And then I got a little into the mother’s section and I was so bored. It felt so wierd and disjointed to structure the book in this way… feel free to spoil the whole book for me 😂 I’m honestly curious about how things wrap up! 😂 🦈 I loved the concept for this one. Although silly at face value, it’s definitely a unique allegorical take on the journey of grieving people who are diagnosed with chronic illness through the storytelling method of magic realism. Glad you survived!! Haha

We hit 50% and he was already gone I was like so where is the rest of this book going. 🤔It was sad when she had to let him go. The mother's section definitely felt like it could have been its own story, but it did finally come back around revealing that she had the mutation. I actually think I enjoyed that section better than the rest, but it definitely felt out of place. I could have done without his perspective after he was a shark. 😆😆
