Hey! I wanted to comment about that "what you are doing for the world" part. To me, you are doing a lot! My name is Bianca, I'm a 23 yo Brazilian painter. I decided to learn how to paint five years ago when I was studying to become a doctor, it stayed pretty much a hobby for the next three years, until I realised that the reason I wanted to be a doctor was because no artistic profession had ever been presented to me as an option. It was not until I found creators online (mainly through CZcams) and found out what people following that kinda of career do and how they live that I started believing this was something I could do!
I'm still only starting out, my art Instagram account is only a year old and I'm still figuring out this life. But the Corridor videos on creative process, photography, and media related issues have taught me so much and really encouraged me to put my painting out there! The work you do is super important to me and I'm not even in the VFX/film making field! Basically what I want to say is: thank you!

I would kill to sit in a room with you guys and just pick your brains and be part of these conversations. I’ve been watching Node and Corridor for a couple years now and I just think you guys are the coolest.
I’m a nurse. My job is very fulfilling but very tiring... it’s emotionally, physically, and mentally draining. Most shifts are bat shit crazy, especially since I work on a neurology unit. So I really resonated with what Jake was saying about pushing through and self discipline. It’s an important trait to have no matter your career, interests, or hobbies. Had I learned that in high school when I was taking video productions classes every year, maybe I would have pursued a filmmaking career. I have coworkers who have been bus drivers, engineers, and cake decorators before. It’s awesome! People who do what what makes them happy are the coolest and funnest people to be around

Insight to the idea of you guys just making a video and not really impacting people:
Not only do we viewers watch this and get enjoyment from the videos but it also inspires to be the creatives we are, to explore and gain more knowledge through tutorials and videos. The hope of making a living off of something we love as much as you guys love your job. For the node videos it gives a release, a calming and entertaining form that connects people. My friends and I watch your videos from across the states and talk about your videos and quote you guys on multiple occasions. It’s not just one video that you guys are uploading either, for the true fans you give us a culture and identity like Jake was talking about through his liking of bands. You guys are great people to look up to and get some encouragement and entertainment on a weekly basis, not just some creators of CZcams videos. You bring back memories of youth and fun and excitement and whimsy and glee and all good things as an initial reaction to every one of your videos.

I want to mention. A LOT of this cast is the guys doubting their impact on the world. As someone who watches every video that comes out.... Your channel isn't just something that makes me happy, as clint said. Your channel is something that inspires almost every viewer to value your friendships more. Especially since I'm 25 and most of my friends went their own seperate ways. Your channel is a story of a bunch of different guys to really inspire a sense of small community and family in your business. It makes me happy, but it also REALLY inspires me to be a better person.. Yall are examples of family values in work and in friendship. As a 25 year old man your channel helps me solidify a better goal for my relationships.
Thanks as always for a good episode!

I knew that I would end up doing something either related to computer programming or studio recording work. Fast forward to now, I work as a game programmer and I also record my music as a hobbyist. The only thing I feel that's changed is how much importance I placed on fame and being recognized. When you guys announced that you were starting a podcast, I was excited to take in another avenue of content that you guys are creating. I’m 20 years old, who’s from Minnesota as well, and I have been watching your groups videos since the Minecraft episodes were posted on the Node channel like 6 years ago. So it’s easy to say that you guys have been a big influence on me throughout some important years of my life. I guess the reason I’m posting this comment is because this episode had an essence of nostalgia in it. I just wanted to say thank you for being a quick escape from reality when needed and teaching me how to be a true artist. I dabble with photography when I’m not busy with football and classes. So just thank you for being a positive influence in a hectic time of life.

Hi guys - first time I've ever commented on any CZcams video - found your channel(s), been binge-watching for a few days and really love your work. I want to add my thought, well, disagreement with one thing said in this podcast. For some of us, the thing we are best at is not that much fun. Nor does being good at something mean I (and maybe a few others) come to love it because I got better at it. I came up in the "Human Potential" movement here in CA and really bought into the "do what you love and the money will follow" philosophy. took me decades to figure out I was asking myself the wrong question: am I happy/passionate about my work? Always a "no" but I was making a very good living...about every 5 years I tried to pivot to what I did love doing...and crashed each time. After two bankruptcies I learned the best question for me to ask was, "am I making a difference?" "Does my life have meaning and purpose?" Answer is always yes.

it’s crazy how it all works out. i’m late to the corridor fam so when I found you guys a couple months ago, I had no clue what I wanted out of life. through watching you guys’ videos, my love for filmmaking has skyrocketed. and at the same time, I discovered my love for screenwriting.
it’s interesting hearing everybody on the show talking about how much they want to “serve” people and leave the world a better place. I really believe I wouldn’t have found my place in filmmaking. never before have I seen a youtube team work so hard, be so creative, and genuinely love what they do. and that love bleeds off to all of us. so maybe you’re not serving in the military or fighting fires but I think the way you guys help others is showing that you can excel in the art while still loving it. i’ll always support you guys as much as I can because I want to repay that passion. thanks boys x

Everyone's super passionate about everything they do. Even everyone's hobbies have some like amazing highlight to it. A really in-depth, knowledgeable, and fantastic experience. you guys been evolving each segment and it's been getting only better and better with each new video. And now with these corridor cast shows I think you guys are really pulling off something special. I really enjoyed the Logan Paul one. definitely didn't even look that guy's way before that episode.this message is already long so I'll try to keep it short from here on out. As I reflect on my last 33 years, especially seeing how my birthday just passed, I realize that I have a lot of my hopes and dreams have been reformulated. I have three children and a house in Houston Texas when in fact I thought I would be in Japan living as a bachelor and travel the world LOL. No worries here absolutely proud of my family and I still feel very fluid. I don't like to think I've yet set myself in stone. I might not be going out of my way to gym out of trees like sir wren but I try to nimble in body and mind. Everyday learning and experimenting. And even though I've pretty much watch every single video I have commented veryfew times. Never really thinking that what I have to say is all that important. But This time in particular I just want to give you praise. Please keep up the great work! (Corridor Clap) 👏

Pre CZcams days, I remember I was about 14 years old browsing the internet. I needed compositing software, was looking around for After Effects alternatives (used to frequently use the After Effects 6 demo that I had on a disc Adobe sent out with their other product demos, got tired of cleaning out my laptop every month). That's when I came across AlamDV2 (by the time I got the means to afford it, Effects Lab DV came out, 3d muzzle flashes, lens flare generators, particle systems, holy crap!). FXhome was a place I called home for a few years, the community was amazing and the idea of a cinema for users to show their work was an incredible idea.
The reason why I bring all of this stuff up, was what Niko said about wanting to find a way to help others with the knowledge of his craft. When I got my hands on Effects Lab I wanted to start taking part in the community and make movies, but had no idea how to get my file sizes for videos smaller so uploading wouldn't be such a chore. When I first joined up I was way to shy to be on the forums (nor did I really know how it all worked, I surfed the internet for years but never took part in communities) so instead of googling the answer for some odd reason, I decided to email the guy who uploaded my favorite film in the FXhome cinema, Metal Gear Redux and ask how they did it. It wasn't long after I got a message back from Sidewinder (Niko), a rather detailed message on good compression settings. It was thanks to this individual I was on my way to uploading my stuff... Now it was finding a website to host my files for free was a problem haha! After a little time passed I ended up uploading my own Metal Gear fan movie I made with my friends to the cinema.
That entire film community was so supportive of each other, once I broke out of my shell a lot of my fondest internet memories are from that site hanging out in the chat room. I look back often and think jeez how did they put up with a kid like me for so long, but I made a lot of great friends back then. As I grew up tho I never did get anywhere, around 16 I started getting bad anxiety and became agoraphobic for a year or two and became anti-social. After a few years I got better, still deal with anxiety but I am much better. At one point I did try to do video work on the local level it became way to real, it wasn't like making films with people you were great friends with. But even so after all of this time I still held onto my love for VFX and CGI, I don't post much on the internet or have the time I wish I had to dedicate myself to it for longer periods of time, but it's always something I go back to just to unwind and have fun.
Anyways, I never talk about myself like this, especially in front strangers of the internet but, I dunno this podcast made me feel like sharing that old story. So to anyone who read this, thanks, I hope you're following your passions in life and the road is as smooth as it can be. And for any remote chance Sam or Niko is reading this, thanks for inspiring me back then with Metal Gear Redux, and thanks again Niko for sharing your knowledge on compression back then lol, whether you remember or not just know even back then you were influencing someone to do something.
Thanks to the entire Corridor Crew for making such amazing content over the years, you guys are my favorite source of entertainment on this platform, and help fuel my desire to never let go of the things that make me the happiest.
    -Travis, back then jedijt9 / JT9.

What Niko said about it being more intimate on this channel with a lot less reach than the main one really resonated with me. I feel more inclined to comment and interact with a video with lower views than something in the millions, because there is a such a saturation of comments on the big hitters, I just think 'what's the point? They'll never see this one comment in the mass of different conversation threads.'
Anyway I've made a resolution to tell creators when I enjoy their content more often, so thank you all for the Corridor Casts so far. I'm 24 now and I've been keeping up with the content all of you guys created since the early days when Rocketjump was just Freddiew and early Corridor stuff too-stuff like PRISM, dubstep guns, tether, and all the behind the scenes videos too-to Clints stuff on pwnisher like parker, cardboard warfare, killzone, death of gary goldwater (which is still an all time favorite to this day), to VGHS, with NODE as it turned from a variety channel with LAN party on the side til you guys took it over, Brandon with his game dev stuff and BONEWORKS, all the way up til now with the Corridor Crew channel and podcast. LAN party was always a favorite too, I remember when D was just behind the scenes at LAN party, and Freddie was on with yall playing kerbal space program, then one day Freddie left and D showed up with no explanation and I was like "wow.. they really gonna try to just replace Freddie with another random asian dude like it's nothing.." lmao and then as time went on D came to be my favorite of the group.. man this really took me back.
Felt like I grew up with yall. And getting to hear yalls side of the story as the creators really gave perspective on all your content I remember watching growing up. This conversation hit home too because I recently made a tough decision on choosing not to pursue a film career, but your words have inspired me to let my passion be directed into the work I'm currently doing.. So thanks again, for all the stuff you created.. always felt at home watching those videos.. you really did make my life better especially when I needed it, so thank yall so much. And congrats on the kid Niko :)

I really enjoyed this episode. I'm around your same age and when I left high school I had two paths, to choose from: go to LA like you and pursue a video career, or stay where I'm at and teach video instead. I decided to become a teacher and I've loved it, but I always wonder, like some of you said, what my life would have been if I'd taken the bigger risk. You guys have had a big impact on my life, because I can watch all your videos and live viciously through you. You give me a glimpse of what that other path could have been, so I can enjoy both.
You are making a big difference in lots of people's lives, but you don't get to see most of the consequences of that, just like I do with teaching. Most people won't say what you've done for them, but your effect is still strong and you're making the world a better place. Keep it up.

Thanks a lot for this guys it's really something a lot of people want to discuss but not a lot do it. This podcast as of right now is the greatest so far, I feel connected and understood whenever you guys talk about experiences & questions about life. BTW if an apocalypse were to happen I know that the artistic careers wouldn't be as important as doctor, plumbers, electrician & engineers but as creators you guys are creating memories for us. Content that we truly enjoy and that we can go back an enjoy those videos on our breaks or free-time,. your content does not get lost in a feed because I don't see the same weight of importance in others as I see in the Corridor Crew. Thank you Corridor, for inspiring another VFX junkie and creator; and even if I don't even make it in the big leagues I sure as hell enjoy this journey that is yet to end. :)

I loved the way you provide a further insight into your own personal views of success in this episode. Corridor Crew is my favourite channel on youtube because from my perspective it's essentially showing the day to day experiences in a Los Angeles production company. It's not Disney or WB yet the smaller group makes it a lot easier to empathise with people and the diversity of the projects results in a far more exciting experience each time. The level of quality in your work you produce is really inspiring, matching full-sized productions in terms of editing and visual effects, sometimes outdoing them.
    Thanks.

I'm 18 and just started collage and i'm studying to be an aerospace engineer because I have always loved planes, rockets, and space since I was young, but I also loved to build things and play video games and to be hands on when I create something. So this has made me very conflicted as I don't want to work in an office everyday of my life (I'm fine with working at the computer for parts of it) but to help build it. I also always have the recurring thought come back into my head to make video games. They have brought me so much enjoyment I my life and they always led me to ask questions or have crazy ideas about new inventions. I'm afraid that if I go into aerospace industry that i might not find what i'm looking for or get to develop games and if I try going into making games I won't have the freedom to make what I want or get to experience working on rockets. As you guys talked about I feel that I'm a great discussion in my life that will shape the rest of my life. Right now I'm thinking that I should go through with aerospace engineering but get a minor in programming so after a few years of the aerospace industry I could start a small video game company. If you guys have any other advise I would love to hear it. Thank you for the amazing content you guys continue to produce.

Hey guys, thanks for putting out this awesome content. Here and on all your Channels. Juggling goals and creativity has really been a major conflict and balancing act in my life. I’m studying my way through med school now, but am always trying to find time to craft or write notes for D&D and even draw out things like maps or magic items in my notes next to the diagrams of body parts lol. Between the three corridor channels and node I’m thankful to have an outlet that’s stress free and honestly something that I don’t have to pressure my brain to do where I can enjoy awesome stories and fun times you all have. It really gets me through the stress of constantly striving towards something to just relax and laugh with y’all while being amazed by the foreign language to me that is film making and fx. Thank you 💪🏼❤️

Equally, seeing how tight you guys are is so nice to see, it's the dream to have that dynamic with others.
