I never would have thought of using paper napkins in making paper beads. I've never tried embossing anything before but that really brings the bead's radiance out. I just loved them. Thank you for sharing your ideas and creativity. 🙂

Hab dir völlig fasziniert zugeschaut. So macht man die also. Sehen schon toll aus. Machst du hauptsächlich Schmuckstücke daraus oder auch Verzierungen?
Daraus mache ich Schmuck (Video ist in Planung), verwende sie aber auch z. B. zum Verzieren von Journalen usw.! Aber das Machen ist einfach schon ein riesiger Spaß und da ich keinen schweren Schmuck mag, sind die Perlen natürlich perfekt! Außerdem habe ich sooo viele Papaierservietten, da dachte ich, ich probier das mal aus (man kann auch schön die Servietten verbrauchen, deren Motive man nicht so toll findet)! Ganz lieben Dank fürs Vorbeischauen und liebe Grüße! 💖😊🌞💐

We used to do this as kids with newsprint and magazines and it was so much fun and then we can make Old Clay beads out of salt and flour and oh by Christmas time they'd be all falling apart but it was so much fun to do it anyway I just love this I love them they're so pretty how to watch it again

I love your work .. I’m thinking I’ll use some of mine in macrame projects .. I wonder if the beads will hold up though if outside with the moisture cold and heat .. Would be placing on a covered porch .. What are your thoughts , or have you used in this situation?
I think they could hold up if the are sealed with outside varnish!

Serviertten auf Papier habe ich auch noch nicht ausprobiert. Ich mache meine Papierperlen am liebsten aus Upcycling Materialien wie Kalenderblätter oder alten Zeitschriften. Liebe Grüße

You omitted to mention that the two tissue backings on an average serviette should be removed before gluing to the paper template - otherwise it will not work.

I mainly use my glue/seal from a local craft store in matt and glossy. It is inexpensive and works wonderfully to consolidate and seal the pearls! And any kind of clear embossing powder!

Oh your covering is a type of varnish , probably would be fine
It's a paper varnish - I use it for all my collages and other projects. I like it because it is not so sticky after drying.
A outdoor varnish from mod podge is available.
