I went to high school with Ty and he hung around with several of us 3-4 sport athletes. We used to tease him all the time that rodeo wasn’t a sport and he wasn’t an athlete..Ty was every bit the athlete we were and he could have competed at a high level in any sport. He always told us one day he would have his own plane with his face and name on it..a class act and a great guy!
I met Ty in Kissimmee Florida and instead of just saying hi and walking away he sat down and we talked about how I could handle the situation of getting under my riggin. I was having trouble and he really showed what a champion he was by helping me. I have a ton of great memories from rodeo but that’s at the top of the list.Thanks Ty (King of the Cowboys)
I remember having this VHS tape I washed it so much when I got into bull riding I really looked up ty Murray and when I had the chance to meet him I couldn't even open my mouth that's one of my big regrets
Nice individual, met him once at star western wear in El Paso Tex.He was very nice to his fans that came to see him ,something you don't see that often anymore from celebrities, Thanks Ty
He still is a class act. Meet him in Albuquerque on that Ty Murry PBR event in March 2024. Thank you for the time that He gave us myself and my significant other. It was her first time going to a PBR event she had a basted. Much respect to him and all PBR staff.
Can’t imagine getting on 30 head of the best stock during an NFR like Ty did MANY times….Ty is definitely one of the top 3 of all time in rodeo history….VERY FEW rode all 3 roughstock events and did it at that level…incredible athlete
