Yes, congrats on your promotion. I enjoy hearing you speak about SW. but I hope you will show and speak more of what do specifically as a Macro S.W. day to day which is still a mystery to me, compare to clinical or case management.

I love helping people and would like to pursue social work but I surprisingly hate research and writing papers... can I still make a great social worker?

Thank you so much! I appreciate that. Lol no it is poppin up on all of our timelines! Yes there are definitely some parts that I’m not feeling. The idea that black women have to do certain things and act a certain way to demand respect. I think that’s kind of messed up. I can’t say I’m “pro” black women in luxury. But I also would not say I’m anti. It’s a very multi layered issue though!
@@MindyourSociety your welcome, and yes some of the messages are so ridiculous and I think can definitely produce the feelings and emotions of being inadequate.
@@SweetGaBrownin yes so true. I guess I’d say I’m pro black women doing what they want, and breaking outside of the boxes that others may try to put us in.
Can I be a great social worker even if I don’t like research and writing?
It depends on the job you end up with but at least doing online research, and writing is important for many jobs even outside of SW
