With a good vice, use a large socket on one side, a small socket on the other. The small socket will press the u-joint into the large socket where you remove the cap and pins. My vice is a 5” Reed.

Would you insure the yoke is filled with grease, and the needle bearings are also greased with the proper lubricant prior to assembly? ... and then pump some thru the grease fitting after the unit is assembled?
