    I just bought a 2018 A-Spec, SH-AWD. 27K miles, one-owner. Phenomenal car. I upgraded the brakes and its just a joy to drive. My only gripes would be every TLX should come with heated steering wheel and remote start. (Mine is equipped with the tech package but not the Advanced Pkg). The nav screen should have also been touch screen, as the Apple CarPlay is a bit clunky with the navigation wheel. Every passenger I’ve had in the last few weeks is blown away by how smooth and quiet it is on the highway. Sound system is like a concert hall.

      Working on owning the exact car you have , maybe even a year newer. Don’t understand what differences are from the 2018-2020 , but 2019’s are all that are available within my price range. Unfortunately these beauties are getting pricey with dumb inflation , but can’t wait to own my aspec with the red interior !

    I bought a CPO 2016 Acura TLX V6 Advance with 22k miles on it in June of 2018. Kept the car for 3 years. Loved every minute of owning it. Was a fantastic car. Never had any issues with it. Sold it to a private party when it had 76k miles on it. Was trying to replace it with a '19 TLX Advance but after months of looking couldn't find one to suit me. Ended up with a '20 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T that stole my heart. What a great car. I really thought I was going to regret going from my V6 to a 4 cylinder turbo but the 2.0T is an awesome engine.

    I bought a new 2020 TLX 2.4 with the 8-speed last summer. I have 10k miles on it now. I get 30 MPG and it’s fun to drive...the 4 cyl revs high and sounds great. The transmission shifts fast and the car is relatively quick. VERY comfortable seats and quiet cabin on road trips! We love it!

    I've had a 2016 4 cyl. TLX with tech package since new. Love the vehicle and it gets great mileage on long highway trips. About 900-1,000 km. per tank if you stay below 110 kph. on cruise. People have commented on how quiet it is. Only real repair was to the rear wheel steering and it was covered by Acura. I have no idea what the issue was as I couldn't detect a problem. Also 4 cylinder is powerful enough, especially in sport mode.

    Yes great video, as an Acura owner it’s not surprising to know some of the issues the earlier first Gen TLX will have. Every car has issues, do your research before buying any car. I’d probably buy the 2017 Accord 3.5V6 Touring over the TLX.

    • @youngbrevy
      @youngbrevy Před rokem +1

      @Randy Srey My reason is based on looks. The body lines flow better in my opinion and it looks more aggressive especially when done right. It also costs less with similar performance and it uses regular fuel. The TLX use’s premium fuel and costs more and the horsepower difference is not worth it in my opinion. Although you get a better interior with the red seats and black head liner in the TLX , the Accords interior is just as usable.

      I was told the vibration over at highway speeds is due to the because of the valve managment thing, when it shuts off 3 of its 6 cylinders thats what causes the vibration as the engine is only running 3 vs 6 so its uneven movment within the engine thus the vibration!

    Got a 2019 tlx awd v6 and all i can say that maybe for the new models of 2015 but past 2018 everything runs fine. And three quaters if what you said is mostly on 4cyclinders. The 6 is the best to go. 0 problem with 50kilo on it. And tell yourself this also acura is a new brand car that just started like 40 years or less cant remember. The real most problems on the car would be electrical stuff but the rest a 1 especially if you dont drive like an 18 year old who just watched a fast and furious movie.

    I have a 2016 Acura TLX SH-AWD V6. I have been changing my rotors and my brake pads. I bought good quality ones and the rotors are warping. I changed the rotors again and the rotors are warped again. I have been trying everything to fix the problem but, there's no solution. The car is shaking on the highway and shaking when I'm braking. I've never seen this before. I changed the driveshaft for a brand new driveshaft. It resolved a bit of the vibration but, the rotors won't stop warping. Acura doesn't have an answer and I'm tired of buying rotors in an attempt to stop the vibration. It's like the rotors are over heating. My brake pads are now at 6mm in the front and 9mm in the back. I thought maybe it's because my front suspension is too loose and there's too much weight going to the front. Acura doesn't want to touch my suspension. I was planning to keep this car for another four years but, it's extremely annoying to drive because of the vibration from the rotors. Can anyone tell me what's going on here?

    • @youngbrevy
      @youngbrevy Před rokem

      I’m no mechanic, however from a Honda Tech they told me Honda should’ve given the car bigger rotors in the beginning. This would’ve helped the vibration issue.
