    So what are the major differences between vapor blasting and sand blasting? May reach out to have my ‘00 KX250 engine done!

      Great question! Vapor blasting is considered “wet blasting” where sand blasting is considered “dry blasting”. Vapor blasting combines an abrasive blast with a pressure washer. The result is a completely restored finish, ready to use. Sand blasting leaves the surface unfinished, still in need of coating, like powder coat or cerakote! Definitely let me know about your 00 KX250 cases!

    Looks awesome man. Vapor blasting is definitely the way to shine parts up 😎

    Looking good man if your looking to get some more shine out of the parts you should run straight 170-325 mesh glass beads, it will clean a little slower but will have more shine when your all done, also I would highly recommend the htmr blasting gun, it is so much more efficient and will cut your blasting time almost in half!

      Right on! I appreciate that feedback my man. I think I will switch to full glass bead once this stuff has run its course. I'll have to check out that htmr gun as well. Anything to save time!

    Question i have, not worried to hit the interal walls close to the edge of the top end by not covering up where the c-head sits? I presume you dont aim the nozzle directly into the cylinder (obviously), or aiming at the same spot more than a few seconds? Anyway i cant wait til i ship my stuff of for the same procedure it seems to be worth the money.
    The parts came out top notch - Well Done Greg 👌🏼.

      Thanks man! I had that same concern about hitting the inside of the cylinder wall but the glass bead is soft enough where it doesn't damage it. I also don't spray directly at it just in case. The inside shouldn't be dirty anyway, or if it is, you would probably be sending it off to get work done, after vapor blasting! Highly recommend it, a clean bike is a happy bike!

    @ Greg Hitchko does that blaster seal well or does the media leak out much thanks in advance

    • @GregHitchko
      @GregHitchko  Před rokem

      I would say it seals 99%, you'll have a slight amount that tries to seep out the door but there is a catch tray for that.

      @@miketripletfab4098 I'm a big fan of the Vapor Honing technologies machine, simple and effective! Check out the link in the video description for more info on it. I've also got another video on my channel about setting it up and what I wish I knew before buying one.
