- V6 Amarok gets a Walkinshaw Performance upgrade
Volkswagen Australia has given its grunty Amarok V6 a performance upgrade by teaming with the engineering team at Walkinshaw Performance, to make a good thing better.
The upgrades made to create the Amarok W580 centre on the suspension and styling, while the powertrain remains the top-specification 580Nm version of the 3.0-litre V6.

its a tad old but still looks tougher than all the rest in that spec, goes unreal, handles and tows like a dream. Those seats are an absolute winner, until you use them each day you dont realise how good they are. Bit pricey, but hey you only live once if you can live without some less tech then its a winner for all round driving comfort and power.
It's a tad old 🤣 wtf you think cars release a new model every 6 months... wanna go back like 5 years to that model... now that's old!! 🙄🙄🙄
Not sure its that off road review i was hoping for as in the title.
So 10 grand for suspension, wheels, stickers and plastic bits... I know the performance of the engine is already market leading, but I think they should have at least given it a tickle... Maybe a larger Turbo, tune or both...
Surely wilkensaw could get a simple tune and get 210kw easy and warranty...
Nice looking ute wish i had one i would get a TUFF 5 POST BULLBAR and some narva 215 leds perfect
Cool pickup.
10K upgrade for the suspension but still equip HT tyres? Larger wheels are not off-roaders' need. VW should learn from NISSAN and collaborate with a team which really understands the needs of Australian off-roader.
So what’s the safety rating no rear airbags for the kids I see no safety rating update in well over five years
What is a pickup?
Nice Ute! Super reliable
coil spacers on original springs ... WTF!!!
They should come with 17’s and 270/65 bfg’s
Very good off road review.
They should have turned the grill upside down to look like a W instead of a M.
🤔🤔🤔🤔 Coil spacers?? 20" rims?? Ancient interior? Hmm
Bro, one of your left lights are broken 😂
🧐😂🙈
Yeah that’s what I thought 😅😆 (recalled already in other words)
Yeah
Nice family car. And that's where it stops.
Soooo, where’s the review? All we’ve seen is you pitching what’s already in the sales brochure…
20” rims why......
Sponsored by Walkinshaw
Gravel driveway review.
Who on earth thought that stickers and 20” wheels is good enough? Do these fools have any brains?
Car reviews are just becoming more and more like adds a 4x4 review and you gloss over 20inch rims like nothing no mention of zero low range or other design flaws that basically make it useless at anything other than an on-road tow car how about servicing or repair costs.
What are the design flaws?
@@THEROADSMITH the air intake in a shit spot and the alternator basically drags on the ground its that low you do one mud hole its stuffed
@@hazamat3222 the intake is beside the headlight like just about every car. And the alternator is in about the same spot as every Ute. Slightly above and across from the crank.
Design flaws?
@@THEROADSMITH not like every other ute at all both are in terrible positions for real 4wding unmodified and still zreo reference to the 20inch rims and no low range and dont say 1st is low we know that's not the same i stand by my statement on road tow rig at best dont let the fact you own one blind you
@@THEROADSMITH have you have to change a tyre on an Amarok on a track thats reason enough not to have one alone
No performance mods. what a wank!
Off road review!?! No Offroad review here. And, does this car pass 85 ADR? No. Dangerous for families. Bullshit car for this day and age
80 grand for a suspension upgrade
walk-in away.
Im not gonna lie this should be a $51k ute that should sell for 5 grand more than a Triton GLX. id go the Triton for less money. This looks as boring as hell
VW laughing stock.
