Nice to see Sam in this. Also really good to see a larger person in the car to help grasp the real inside size as all people come in many different shapes and sizes. Keep this man on :) Make him your off road expert! You guys should review caravans and camper trailers that would be sweet.
Sam is one of the best reviewers out there... Its a shame that he does not get much screen time. I am hoping to see him on his channel more with new reviews.
Great review Sam, good points covered and also negatives 👍🏾 Just one point that I want to bring to attention, the hill decent function (off road mod) is also used climbing or technical tracks and great for beach driving as it adjust traction control levels.
Finally! Someone who knows 4WDs and off-road driving reviewing a 4WD on the channel. Keep him on the channel guys, he's cut his teeth on the most popular 4WD channel is Australia and he's given your channel significant credibility when it comes to reviewing these vehicles. Great work Sam!
Sam knows about utes as he is mechanical mind. When you back with 4wd Acton in your weapon mate? VW should have been in front of the other brands years ago but chose to stick with old technology hence compromising their amarok brand. Hopefully new one will be a weapon. Good to see you Sam. Keep going mate
People are so obsessed with all the tech goodies. heads up dsiplay? Come on. it is a 4WD>. Are people to useless to turn their heads? What a crock. Everyone just want all the goodies. I take the engine, transmisrion and AWD anyday over a lttle ornage light in youtr mirror.
I agree, the less electronics the better imo as it will outlast pretty much everything else that has full electronics. I bought an Aventura due to better seats etc as i will want to own this car as long as possible. It's going to be a daily + fishing and camping ute for my self as it's the only car i can get with decent power and RWD/AWD that i can fit in at 6'3.
I agree. Lane departure and all the other stuff is unnecessary. It’s a ute. I have had all that stuff in all my other cars. Toooo many beeps, flashing lights, bells and chimes that completely annoy the hell out of me. I have a 580 Ultimate package which I love. Eats the beach and is more than adequate off road.
The gearshifter surround and climate panel is all off a golf (looks the exact same as our 7.5 r minus piano black) which is why I think so much of it is blanked out
Such a disappointing car. I love VW, have a golf and loved driving the amarock when it first released, but it has been a long time since the release and still not enough has changed to get the juices flowing. In my opinion, it appears as though the entire Amarock line is just an afterthought for VW.
Not sure if this is your first vid with the channel, but welcome Sam!
Yeah I haven’t seen him before
Appreciate the kind words 🙏 Make sure you subscribe to the Chasing Cars channel so you see my future vids!
@@SamYoung4x4 I already have you are very good at explaining stuff. Because I have dyslexia. And I understood what you were talking about
Good on you Sam! 👏 getting into the car review scene, always fun watching you on 4wd 24/7 now killing it here too 👍

Hell yeah good review Sam, appreciate the more indepth off road tests.
Welcome Sam. Did very well for your first review for CC.
Thanks mate!

I always see the interior criticised but I love the simplicity
Quiet happy with my 2019 ultimate 580. I'm averaging 8.4L per 100km.

Nicely done Sam. Unfortunately we Americans don't get this Amarok.

And they need to make it more spacious and this is pretty much very tight fit like navara and triton specially the cab
Good job Sam, are you still doing Spares Box?

YAY SAM! good job chasing cars!
Thanks!
concise and informative....authoritative. Will check back for more.
Love the Rok. For me it was all about performance ….the Rok has no equal.

Would you do the Tele track in it Sam?
Keto Sam, great vid good knowledge
Good review Sam.
Tough first gig. There's not much that's more boring than a dual cab ute.
Looks Loverly
Same interior/design since 1901
They call it highline. it is 70 grand. It has cloth seats LOL.
that wasnt realy 4WD. watch the Practical Motoring review between the Amarok and The Wild track. much better.

2022 amarok review in the title and the video is of a 2021 amarok go figure
its looking old - time to move on I think

@@StephenFogarty2023 how is it a dumb comment when it is opinion. No denying it was amazing when it came out, but now.. not so much.
Clickbait title. First and last time here
This is the model year 2022 Amarok, so you’re in the wrong. Goodbye!
Looks great outside but instead like Chinese 🤔
