2023 Shad Fishing Washington State

This is the annual shad fishing trip video at the Bonneville dam. Another fun fishing trip at this fishery. This trip definitely reminded me that you have to be well prepared for this fishery since it can be pretty physically demanding, especially in wet rainy conditions. The fishing is great though and a fantastic start to the summer fishing season. Tried turning towards the lower side of the river instead of going up against the Dam this year to see if it's a better spot, but found that it was more suited for other bank fishing rather than shad fishing. Key lesson this trip is to bring a jacket and a good stringer if you plan on keeping fish. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments below and thanks for watching!
