WINTER KAYAK SQUIDDING - Puget Sound

Took my Hobie PA14 out on the sound to go squidding out in marine area 11. Fantastic weather this winter season so I was able to get out a couple time in very nice calm, warm sunny condition. I was out there 2 week ago in a kayak and it was awesome. I was thinking of going back after this cold snap. Do you know how long the squid season last?

Nice! I think this should be near the end of the season this month, but I'm still seeing some success reports. Only one way to find out!

Enjoyed this video. It reminded me of a New Years Day trip catching squid off the Edmond Pier. The local people were very helpful in showing a squid jig. I caught enough for a calamari fry for the whole family. That was 30 yrs ago. Looks like it’s still a great time
