These days, yes. Smart connected controls are essential.
Humax are one of those massive companies that just flies under the radar but is always there.
Having the ability to controls who is charging from your charger is really important nowadays. People are going to start stealing electricity from the old "dumb" chargers if they are mounted outside.
That could well be. Also the idea of making your charger available to others (even for money) has potential. I lent my home charger to a neighbour so they could get enough charge to go to the airport when all the local public street ones were taken. But you don't want people jumping on when you're not there and your drive is empty.
Never heard to Turu before but that charger looks pretty cool.
Kind of brave that they offer it with installation. What if the installation requires a consumer unit upgrade or something?

That one isn't available in the UK but I think they're planning to bring it over. It's currently sold in South Korea.

Can Human put you in contact with an installer? Its quite a pain in the bottom trying to find an electrician at the moment who has the time to do this.
Yes, I think the price including installation comes with a recommended installer. We will have to ask, but I think they have been working with a partner on this.
Im sick and tired of having to turn my charger off at the fusebox to stop people from cheekily trying to charge from it.

What's wrong with those? We have connections to the tech and consumer electronics industry and haven't heard anything negative about Humax TV set-top boxes. All the reviews we've seen are 4 or 5 stars and they have 81% five stars on TrustPilot.
@@WhichEV The have a habit of breaking down just as the warranty expires & the do not/will not assist. I have had two set-top tv boxes from them, both failed & Humax refused to do anything about them 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Not yet. Humax hasn't announced when that one is coming to the UK, but it is a domestic charger as well. Currently only in South Korea.
