Singapore does not track the number of AI voice cloning scams

The police have acknowledged receiving a limited number of reports involving scammers utilizing voice cloning techniques.
However, they do not maintain specific records of such incidents. Efforts to educate the public on emerging scam tactics are ongoing, alongside improvements in technical abilities to counter these threats.
The Home Team Science and Technology Agency, for instance, is advancing AI-driven methods to identify both video and audio deepfakes, including voice cloning detection capabilities.
This was stated by Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Minister of State for Home Affairs, in response to queries from Gerald Giam, Member of Parliament for Aljunied GRC, during a Parliament session on Wednesday (3 Apr).
