The most incredible idea that i find forwarded in this talk by Dr. Yasantha is; 'If you tell the AI to study and learn from all the patents available and invent better kind of patent ideas'. What would be the result?
Side note. By replacing most of human labour AI will bring in more equitable society rather than making rich more rich due to value system inherent in the capitalist mode of production.

I recently watched a film called "Her" and it's familiar with the thumbnail of this video.

Pak Gita, persis seperti yang dikatakan Dr. Yasanta, beliau merasa sangat beruntung karena bisa loncat2 bidang ilmu (kalau di kita yang dihargai itu yang loncat2 partai 😁). Nah, ini beda jauh dengan budaya iptek kita, terutama yang diendorse oleh kementrian, yaitu bidang ilmu yang linier. Dalam kepegawaian, yang dihargai itu yang linier, dari S1 sampai S3. Jadinya banyak yang terperangkap dalam ilmu masing2, tidak punya pandangan luas, dan yang paling parah, tidak paham dengan bidang lain. Ini justru menghasilkan manusia2 tidak fleksibel yang miskin inovasi.
Kalau ada orang DIKTI yang baca ini, tolong dong hapuskan syarat linieritas. Gak ada gunanya itu

The description of GAI utopia looks like dystopia.
I suppose this guy fully understand all the consequences of implementing even AI in human life. He is so happy, because he did not see another good variant for humanity (like Ilon Mask, who is trying to colonize Mars befor the End).
In my proposal for master degree I adviced the "economists to speed up their research to be in time befor the end of the world".
It would be usefull to apply AI to modern economic model (as we know now, emotions and Game theory explain all the development of human cultures). It would save the humanity without extravagant ideas like Mars and GAI. I am not sure of reality of this world, but if you are already playing, you try to win.
