I really appreciate your reviews. Especially knowing that the reviews are honest as they can be (relative to other reviewers on CZcams). I've ridden this new Supersix Evo for 2500 miles. My take is a little different from yours. I am coming from a rim brake 2018 Supersix Evo which is superlight (6.5 kg). I looked at the geometry and I knew that the bike would not be as reactive as the 2018 model . The longer wheelbase, longer trail measurements, and the new stack and reach measurements make the bike very, very stable and predictable. However, the tradeoff is a reduced feeling of reactivity from my 2018 model which was a climbing delight. That said, this is a much better all-rounder bike whereas my 2018 was a climbing specialist. To mirror your experience, this bike climbs extremely well, but its not exceptional at climbing like the 2018 rim brake version. However, this bike descends much better than the 2018 version and is definitely much more aero and holds the speed very well on the flats. I am using the Cannondale Hollowgram wheels that came with the bike and I find the bike extremely comfortable for all day rides. I don't find the seat post uncomfortable, I don't find that the MOMO bars are not stiff enough. I am running the bike tubeless with 28c tires (not sure if this makes a difference). While I love my 2018 rim brake Evo. I think If I had to keep one bike, it would be the new Supersix Evo. The geometry changes work well for me (I did work with a fitter to make sure the bike was tailored to me as best as possible). I started my cycling journey with a CAADX, moved to a CAAD10, then a Supersix Evo 2018 rim brake before moving to the current one. I've stuck with Cannondale for all my bikes through the years.

As always I love the reviews! This is the bike I currently ride! I bought the full build & added the Systembar R-One. The bar felt thin in the tops compared to the Sworks Aerofly 2 I was on before, but I got used to it quickly. The drops have been great over rough road(I sprint from the hoods anyway). I haven't felt any top heaviness at all, maybe it's a size difference thing (possibly the bar too). I'm on a 54 with the 42/100 cockpit. The only real drawback I've found for me is the stock HollowGram R-SL 50 front wheel is rough in a strong crosswind & slows me down a bit sometimes. That's my 2¢ anyway. Great to hear someone else's opinion on what I've been experiencing since September!

Nice review DC. I own the same bike color and size. Except it has Winspace Hyper D45 wheels with Prime carbon aero handlebars fully intergraded (16.3 lbs). I've put about 5K miles on my 2024 Supersix evo and so far I'm loving it. I did end up putting a Specialized Evo mirror saddle to help with my stiffness of the seat post.

Another great review, thanks DC! As with other recent bike reviews, this would not be a bike that would be in the lineup that I would be considering for my next ride, however, I am always open to learning about different options, especially from someone that I trust. As you were discussing the phenomena where you could not make up your mind about the ride of the bike, one day thinking X and the next day thinking Y....what came to my mind was that sometimes a person and a bike will just 'mesh' together and everything just clicks. Your back-and-forth with this bike indicated to me that you and the this bike were just not a perfect fit....and that is OK....that does not mean that it is not a great bike, it just means that it is not the perfect bike for you.

Another great video!! Thanks for sharing with us. As the owner of a Soloist i am always interested in how these bikes stack up to that. Love my Soloist!! I know you are not a weight weenie and these are really not meant to be exactly the build you would buy at the LBS, i think it would still be really interesting to see the actual weight of the bike. This would be an interesting point of reference because how it rides for its weight compared to other lighter or heavy bikes can be both better or worse and bike weight is not the "be all" "end all" tell tale sign of speed.

I’m kind of glad I ended up buying my evo himod before this video dropped as I have had completely different experience 😅. I think your video would have swayed me away from the bike. But I might have liked the other option just as much (factor o2)
The momo handlebar works great for me. I can’t feel the flex at all. Granted, I’m 62kg and I’m not doing full out sprints. But I definitely do a lot of climbing. and I actually feel like the rear end has plenty of compliance. My favorite part of this bike is actually how stable it is. It’s confidence inspiring going downhill. I think this characteristic is really different for a race bike and I can totally see why people who races crit may want a more twitchy bike.
But most of all, like you said, all these bikes are great bikes and none of them will make us any faster.
I wanted a bike that I liked the looks of, and this checked all the boxes. (No weird features, no super wide/aero tubing or forks). Just a really nicely balanced bike.
I got my hi mod frameset with the momo bars brand new with 20% off. So definitely ask for deals!

I own a 2023 hi-mod 2 size 56 fully stock and I have to say I am very surprised by your experience. Maybe it is the Momo bar or something related to the size of the frame, or even the wheels and tires you are riding but for me, the bike always feels the same on every ride and I've put over 6k km on it. It feels extremely fast, smooth, comfortable, planted to the ground and awesome at clinbing and descending. The stock hollowgram wheels, albeit a bit heavier than other wheelsets, feel lively under acceleration and hold speed extremely well. None of the other reviews I've seen have reported similar issues to what you experienced, so I am glad you mentioned at the beginning to take your findings with a grain of salt.

Cannot confirm this review at all. My own Lab71 is also equipped with the r-one bar and I really love it. Stiffness is good enough for a 1200 Watt sprint but it is also damn good in ergonomics. I reworked some things after the workshop did a lot things not perfect as I would do it myself. Compared to my black inc Supersix evo it is a lot faster in the flat but not slower on hills. On the top I stacked 2 cm higher with a different handling feel at all. I get used to it within 20 km of usage. Comparing to the superstiff SystemSix it is a nearly as fast but drives like on a magic carpet. Btw. the pros of EF are also using the r-one bar, but not the bottle cages. I heard the SL8 is very uncomfortable from a friend. To be honest, the bike feels different on rides because your body is different everyday, the bike is, I swear, for 100% the same. 😂

How would this review be different if you bought something more realistic like the much better value Ultegra version or even the 105 Di2 which can currently be bought for UKP3200 (USD4000)? I'm considering SuperSix EVO for the slightly more relaxed ride. I also like the way they have done the cockpit with integrated cabling combined with the flexibility of separate bar / stem (lower models). That will enable me to better dial in fit and even keep a couple of stem lenths for different types of riding. I understand it is possible to swap Conceal C1stem without having to re-do hydraulics if you use the semi-integrated option. Has anyone tried this?

On a good day, the CAAD13 feels great - on more than one occasion, I've thought to myself, "this is all the bike I need." But on a bad day, I start to question myself. If I have low energy, I think "it's nice to have the Aethos because it takes less effort to ride it." But does this really justify having two bikes that are so simiilar? I'm still not sure. The Aethos is sharper and stiffer, while the CAAD is more comfortable but still handles very well. @@n8Xhunt true but TDT does not have a sponsor for stems and handlebars. And mostly uses pro and Deda.

Because Vision is a sponsor for the parts. That’s why they ride Metron wheels and not Cannondale Hollowgram.

Hey Nomad! TCR such a great lineage, though I haven't ridden the new model, I have no reason to believe it wouldn't ride good. Thanks for your time!

I would have taken up that Lab71 offer. I can't believe the Momo handlebar ended up being so flexy and for someone that looks as light as you 😮
After watching this, I'm kind of glad I don't have a Lab71 with a Momo handlebar.
Also, TARMAC ALL DAY BABY 🥳
