    Beautifully captured and great emotions from the bride. I've just recently tried the Canon R with the 24-104 F4 and the 85 prime 1.2 and straight out of the camera @ 1080p the clour was great, hardly any re-touching. Normlly I manual focus but it was nice to let the Canon do all the work. I also loved the programmable ring on the 24-100 lens which was set to ISO. This meant that it was very quick and easy to overide. Now if Canon could have the same IBIS like Panasonic then it would be a killer camera (I currently shoot with Pansonics) even if they have the make the camera slightly bigger.

    This is beautiful! I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts in the review. It is something that I am struggling with. My wife is a photographer and shoots Canon. I currently shoot Sony, and came from a Panasonic GH3. It would be so nice to have one cohesive look for color grading. We just got the EOS R and are testing it out, but I am up in the air about getting rid of the A7III.

      The Sony a7iii is an AMAZING camera. For me it came down to the canon color science and the c-log for me. I hate s-log personally. I hate the menus and overall functionality of the Sony as well. but as far as image quality you can't go wrong with either camera. but I LOVE my canon!

    Hey Brock, nice film! How you getting on without 4K 60 on the R? You mentioned in a previous video that you shoot the whole day in 4K 60... I’ve just upgraded from GH5/s to 3x S1’s - I just couldn’t go to the R due to no 4K 60. Was it the AF that made you switch?

    • @Iambrockbailey
      @Iambrockbailey  Před 4 lety +1

      no need for 4k lol I am shooting 100% in 1080 60p now. AF, color science and c-log were huge factors of switching for me!

    • @Staystrongbrotherx
      @Staystrongbrotherx Před 4 lety +1

      @@Iambrockbailey Interesting and bold switch in a "4k world" lol - I think maybe we all get blinded by 4k and forget how good HD still is. I'm intrigued to know more about your thought process going from 4K to 1080 shooting - was there anything about the S1 specifically that made you switch over (rather than just Canon)?
      Edit: sorry for all the questions, I've literally just received 3 S1's today and I'm debating sending them back and getting R's for half the price and buying additional glass (UK).

    • @Iambrockbailey
      @Iambrockbailey  Před 4 lety +3

      David Sargant I love canon color science and I love AF when it comes so weddings. Those are the main reasons I switched.
      I didn’t like the v-log out of the s1 personally. The s1 is a great camera. I had two bodies and lenses and sold everything to get three eos Rs with like 5 lenses lol It also pairs nice with my c200:) I just really love canon. I have been all over the Panasonic line for a long time and I’m so happy I made the switch. I don’t need 4K right now and I charge extra for it. When I need to shoot 4K 60 I will just shoot on my c200.
      There is also a new RS that is coming out lol I may bump up to that next year, but this year I am EOS R all day!

    • @Iambrockbailey
