Today there are people that sell grocery magnets, where you put on the fridge magnets of the things you have and either move to a different part when you're out of something or remove completely. Yes the magnets cost some but you're gonna be using them for years. But that's more for people with ADHD and less to save on electric bills😅
I had a roommate that would turn off the heat when he went to work in the winter time. The two big problems was that I was still at the house asleep and would wake up freezing. He thought he was saving electricity, but I told him that he was actually increasing the power bill because the furnace had to work harder to heat up the house. Apparently no one told him that if you kept the heat at a certain cutoff temperature that you would save money and keep the house warm.
@albireotheredguard1599 Yep, I live where AC is necessary but heat is not. And it is cheaper to keep the AC on 24/7 for the same reason. Plus, during the summer it isn't that uncommon to still be in the triple digits at 1AM, but never drops below 90.

Okay, that picture idea was actually not bad, even if you're not trying to save electricity. Maybe you are just trying to save time deciding what to eat. You can also use the picture as a shopping list.
Tips to reduce power: 1. Turn off the lights when you leave the room 2. Take out the bulbs (most light fixtures use more than one bulb and runs on a parallel circuit so using 2 instead of 5 bulbs is better) 3. Switch to fluorescent or LED lights, maximize Lumens and minimizes wattage 4. Turn down the fridge slightly from recommended, if it's an old fridge (well maintained and manufactured before the 2000's) you can turn it down more 5. Stuff your fridge. Air doesn't hold as much cold as food, so keeping your fridge stocked (even if it's something that doesn't need to be refrigerated) is better in the long run. 6. Keep your blinds shut (especially in the summer) reduces AC usage by roughly 10% 7. Minimize screen time and switch to LED or Plasma TV. They use more wattage than RGB TV, but last longer, so it's cheaper in the long run. 8. Charge appliances (like your phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) In one go on the same power bar. Power bars distribute power, so it's using the same amount as if you plugged in your phone charger, so if you plug your phone, laptop, etc. Charger into the same power bar, they'll charge slower but will use less power overal. 9. Encourage trips to the local library. They're open until 5:00 and you can use their outlets to charge your things instead, and there's free wifi to use (plus, books for entertainment) 10. Minus entertainment, coffee shops, cafés, and such will also house you and your laptop (also free wifi) just be sure to order every now and then and respect the waiting staff.
Fun fact, the cost per Kwh is calculated in blocks, an varies based on the time of day/night you use it, as well as if your home has a combination gas and electric or just electric. Using electricity within the 1sr (which is the cheapest), yet using it during peek hours will cost you more. Until recently, off peak usage has been overnight. However with people buying EVs, this is changing.
If you unplug your appliances when you're not using them, you save money on the electric bill. Also, use battery-powered lights and charge the batteries at your job. This one I need to fact check, but your fridge uses more power to circulate cold air the LESS items are in it. So fill the empty space with water gallons. If you're ever doing laundry and the load seems light, add bed sheets to justify doing laundry. Also throw in kitchen rags and bathroom towels.
