You must not live in the south! That F word is heaven to us after a lonngggg hot summer. I live in Texas and we just went through a hurricane. I didn’t have electricity for 7 days - no a/c! Fall can’t come soon enough.

Fall must be on my mind…everything I ordered on Amazon today was for baking and cooking (bread-making supplies and huge Dutch oven). Ready to come in the house and enjoy the hibernation season. I pack a small Britta in my luggage (full of socks) so that I don't have to rely on bottled water when I travel. At home I use it to filter my tap water before using it on my house plants.

I confess! I got wrapped up in mindless TikTok videos and decided a couple of days ago to delete the app! I started watching your videos again yesterday and was shocked how much your garden has grown!!! Also, I heard you say in this video you will be taking off for the month. Linda, I’m obsessed with filtered water, I have extremely sensitive skin and years ago we invested in an all house water filter which filters the water as it comes in the house, so bathing is no longer an issue. Then we placed an additional filter under the kitchen sink to double filter the tap water. We drink water directly from the faucet, I don’t buy bottles and I don’t have to make water. The outside filter has an automatic back wash but we do have to change the sink filter occasionally. Both projects and investments we so worth it, especially since I’m an ice queen, my refrigerator ice is filtered.
I am curious what you got for a house filter. My skin is sensitive and I have hard water!

I have the Frigidaire counter top ice maker from Costco and it’s a very good product! I keep in running 24/7.
We got up to 117° yesterday at interstates I-70 an 135!!!!!
Holy moly! That was miserable!
I have found using distilled water helps with both the coffee and maker and the ice maker.
I had several keurigs over the years and finally threw the last one away 4 or so years ago because they stopped working and kept giving errors. Then I bought a nespresso and have had it several years. It still works great. But my complaint with it is how very expensive the vertuo pods are. You can’t get generic versions so you can only get them through Nespresso or from them on Amazon. With the keurig, I had a reusable pod that I could easily refill with any ground coffee. You can buy a vertuo seal kit, but you have to save your used Nespresso pods, remove the foil label, wash them out, fill them with your coffee and then use the generic seal. It’s a real pain. I don’t think I would buy another one for that reason even though it works great and has lasted. After a few years of buying expensive pods, it starts to bother you. I will be curious how you feel about it now, but more importantly, in a couple years. If I were starting over, I think I would just buy a small regular coffee pot and a nice milk frother.

I use Rev-a-Shelf for heavy dishes. It holds 150 pounds! IKEA has a plastic recycling pull out that can be used for toilet paper or something! Oh, and don’t ever stain concrete inside! I did for $200 and it is taking 6 weeks and thousands to grind the paint/stain off!

Because the ring doorbell can be so easily removed for charging couldn’t it be easily stolen? It seems like a good idea but I would hesitate to purchase it for that reason.

I just unjoined this page until I see what is going to happen because I am confused. It sounds like this won't be a garden page anymore. I miss the good old days when it was just Linda in her back and front gardens and sometimes the old house. I love this house too but if the new channel is what it sounds like, I think I will only be watching when it's about gardening. In the meantime, I will wait and see and maybe rejoin when I see what it is. I will sure especially miss that backyard.
Nita, there will be two channels. One this one, will stay the same. All about Gardening. The other one will be completely different. Nothing will change on this channel.
Usually most people just skip the ones they don't want to watch and watch the ones they do. We usually keep it to ourselves because we understand people don't watch what they don't want to see and watch what they do want to see. It's usually like a personal decision.
