My name is Samantha Wayne and I have been creating advocacy videos on CZcams since 2009. I created Live Hope Lupus in order to create a space where those with chronic illnesses could get information and support. Please subscribe to follow me along on this journey!
Hi. I am in the protocol about 2 mouths , I have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis . Now my DNA and CRP are negativ. I'm so happy. I am sure that one day I will be free from this ills.
Well done . What was your diet . Pls replay on atlant.sk@gmail.com
Wow great news. This gives me hope to attempt to reverse my sle
What was ur diet plz give me
Whats the protocol name?
Please tell the protocol
I feel really good just being plant based and adding the smoothies. I want to do the full protocol in the future though.
I've just been diagnosed with lupus, that's how i've found your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your experience it gives me awful lot of hope and peace!
Dr. G's green smoothie protocol is awesome and easy. You can do this. Don't forget to drink a gallon of water and add 300 mcg of iodine and a tbl. Of sea salt.
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!
Thank you for the update and congratulations on sticking to the protocol. Wishing you well on your journey to health.
thank you for posting, I'm thinking of doing this and needed to hear from someone else who did.
Thanks for the summary.
Thinking about it!
Green smoothies are the easiest way for me,i love salads too,im so happy you are doing this & thank you for inspiring us,much love & health to you beautiful!!😊🥗🥬🥒🌱🍍🍋🍉🍇🥝
Thank you for these videos! My sister has vasculitis and I have been looking for some resources to help her. Im really happy to hear about your journey :)
That’s amazing!! I am starting tomorrow!!! I am so excited. I CANNOT wait!!!!
Best of luck! You're gonna do great.
Thanks so much for making these videos! I started the protocol 3 weeks ago and I love having the online support. My kids have been very supportive but it’s great seeing others who are going through the same thing. Keep making videos!!!❤️❤️❤️
Where can I get the online support from
thank You ♻️
I've been slowing introducing Dr G's protocol since being on a low fiber diet from my GI doc for several months. It goes against what my doctor thinks I should do but it's helped so much already with my digestive health. I even got out of a colonoscopy because my symptoms improved! Plan on starting 100% on Monday after her Q&A
Awesome! ❤️
How are you now please reply me
Can you please share weekly update when you do it this new year? I will gradually start my journey towards raw vegan diet to resolved my thyroid and autoimmune conditions. I am going to start smoothies this week. I would love to have some support and your videos would really help to give this protocol a full try this new year. Thanks so much for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing your journey! I tried the Medical Medium protocol (very similar) a couple of years ago, but didn’t make it past the first week. I need to try it again!
Thanks for the helpful info! It’s crazy you have Lupus and Sjogrens…I have both too and I’ve never met another person my age with both (or even one) of those.
Hope you went well in January
I am starting this next week. I have SLE Nephritis for 6 years now, currently in remission. Love you and your channel.
So great to hear you are in remission!
Are you still on meds ?
I'm on it now and it's not bad because I love salads so I do most of greens in my spinach and get creative with other fruits. Tha k you for taking us on your journey. I hope to continue pass January.
Hi, which fruits and veggies are you supposed to eat and avoid? Please advise thanks!
@@rinnieq.743 If you're not on a low potassium diet then you are free to eat each and every fruit and veggie. Cruciferous veggies are the ones she says have the most healing properties. Don't forget your chia seed or flax seed oil for your Omega-3. Hope this helps.
@@insidemonicasworld thank you so much!
It’s so nice to see people trying so many different approaches and giving feedback. I can’t do this myself. I tried and it’s a no go. Great info though!
Forever Young -ish you can do anything you put your mind to.. it’s not forever.. I did gaps for a month it’s way more restrictive.. guess what my lupus markers are negative
jessica yarno I did it for 3 years and I got worse... everyone is different.
does it work for Sjogren's syndrome
@@naomig123 hey looking to try this protocol. Did you stay raw vegan 100% for 3 years with no results?
When did you start incorporating regular food and did you go back to eating cooked foods without any
in grease in your symptoms
Thanks for sharing! Dr. G's classes are not free anymore!! I think I saw $3500 for a spot in a 6-week group class. The book didn't feel like an A to Z guide on what to do, but it has a bunch of princples that I suppose you work within to change your diet and lifestyle.
No oil... but I love olive oil... but if it makes a big difference, it's worth a try.
Just watch all Dr. G's videos on CZcams and make the smoothie with greens and a banana and pineapple and flax seeds and water. Also drink a gallon of water with sea salt and take 300 mcg of iodine daily and eliminate all cooked foods. I have so much energy after just 4:weeks. If I can do it, you can do it.
Hey ! Interested to hear why upping the seeds was difficult for you ? I have always had flare ups from any plant fats… however haven’t experimented much with chia & flax but I’m still weary… what was your experience ?
Did you do a follow up video after doing the protocol for a second time and how did it work out for you?
I don’t have Lupus but I suffer other chronic illnesses (hypothyroid, CFS, and all the glorious physical and mental symptoms that come with those). I’m very interested in this program as i know my current diet is lacking but man I just don’t know about being vegan. I’m a slim girl but I have the appetite of a horse and always feel hangry and starving if I don’t get in some kind of animal protein. I know that fellow vegans may not like to hear that lol but it’s true. I have wonky blood sugar. It just makes me scared that I’ll end up worsening something or passing out from hunger 😜. It’s got to be tough getting in enough calories and to feel satiated on fruits and veggies alone.
Jayne Karinova I always say everyone’s body is different and what may work for one person may not work for another. I know when I try to do more raw foods I get GI issues
Have you tried the protocol? I have interested in it for CFS did it help you?
I plan on starting January 1st. I have Lupus, Sjorgens and RA
How did it go?
Any update?
What would you basically include in nuts ? Cause i intake alot of Walnuts almonds , pistachos .
Awesome! Thanks for sharing and continuing to share! Does the protocol allow for any cooked veggies, beans, grains, starchy veg like sweet potatoes or potatoes? Much love and support to you!💛🌱
Sam, does this also help with sjogrens? I am hoping it does. You look so much better,😊
Lori Dean yes sjogrens is a auto immune it will help
I would love to know how you improved? What was it that you had and exactly what improvements did your body make if you feel comfortable sharing that.
Iv tried Raw foods befor, and I just wanna say that it might not work for everyone. Raw food is not easy to digest, and if you wanna easy into something, just focus on eating your veggis, and stay away from gluten and stuff with yeast as they are higly inflamatory. This is just my experience tho, after many triels and errors. Iv had lupus(SLE) since 2001. Happy holidays everyone :)
Silje Gizmo I was thinking this too. I have had colitis twice over the years and even though it’s currently in remission, the past two months I started to has salads daily and more raw veggies and it really upset my stomach and I was back to running to the washroom again several times a day. Sure enough, raw veggies are not recommended for colitis.
Having many bowel movements is the point of the protocol. If someone is constipated this is different
Silje Gizmo Look into the blood type diet by Dr D’Adamo, it might help you
@@lothekitty1327 The blood type diet a hoax. Theres zero science behind it and it's not a diet designed to heal the body.
How are your lupus markers? I know you talked about having ebv.. I had reactivated ebv when my dsDNA came back at 274 3 months ago.. I am seeing a functional medicine doctor and just 3 months later all my markers are negative.. I did drastically change my diet and implemented the smoothies every day..
What supplements did you take for EBV?
Love your videos! Have you noticed an improvement with your eye/ mouth dryness since doing the protocol...
Hi Samantha, I have had Raynauds for years (i think since a teenager..I'm 45yrs now) and alopecia has been getting worse and as I am of Bangladeshi origin my face shows a comodone rash on nose and cheeks rather than the "lupus rash" and comodones on the chin...i used to have flawless skin when drinking water etc. My doctor hasnt a clue about my symptoms in the UK and wante dme to go on HRT...I dont and havnt taken any medication for the past 10yrs...maybe the odd paracetamol. I am currently on the Lupus Protocol and for the first time in years I am having more than one bowel movement in a day and I just cant believe it. I am on day 8 and i had stopped nuts few days ago as they were not helping...but I heard you said we could have fresh fruit. I only add the fruits in my smoothie 75% greens and 25% fruit (banana, mango and pineapple). Am I allowed to have more fruit throughout the day? If so then this would be great...but got a feeling its more greens and fruits. Just wanted to double check. Love your channel. I used to be a High Flying HR Director and now I struggle to have a shower at times. I have great supportive Husband and teenage kids but it still feels like "no one understands". I have eliminated dairy, meat and processed foods over the past 3 months as my body just told me and only found Dr Goldner recently..hence going full force. Back in 2014 I was living/working in Dubai and reversed my diabetes with juicing and green smoothies within 20 days...but unfortunately "The Standard western Diet" came back in. To anyone else reading this....nutrition is key and you've got this...if you have a bad day..dont worry you can get back on track. 😊 love to all xxx
How do you not starve on this protocol? How can you get enough calories raw?
How do take water a gallon wen lupus is attacking kidney? Plz if u can help
I am suffering fr9m Graves and lyme and cannot connect with her do you think that helps
Do you need an iodine supplement cant see how you'd get it otherwise
I have not been diagnosed with lupus or anything I have been having symptoms tho I’m nipping it in the butt now I fast and ate healthy I woke up feeling better but I’m having chest pains and stomach pain but no joint pains
Do you still have lupus after trying this?
Fish oil and extra virgin olive oil and flax oils are high in Omega 3 so wonder why not those? Do you feel you will have to stay on this for life to stay symptom free?
Olive oil is not high in omega 3. Fish oil has many issues with toxins and metals. Flax oil is ok but suboptimal because its highly processed denatured and lacks fiber. Image drawing oil from a seed. This takes a very intense process
did you try the Gerson therapy to cure your lupus?
Gerson's is not an optimal protocol. It removes the most important elements of plant by juicing them. The fiber contains all the best parts in our digestion and assimilation of them
Did you lose weight at all during the protocol? ❤❤❤
Oh man missed the free videos
Same 😔
The fruit kicks up a yeast infection. Any other recipes for smoothies that don’t include fruit that taste good.?
what oil did you implement, that started the inflamation? did you try olive oil or any other? thank you
Mostly the canola/ vegetable oil types. I avoid olive oil as well since there is no benefit to me adding it in.
@@HealWithSamantha ok thank you! :) Some people praise olive oil, so I just wanted to know your experience with it.
Is this diet recommended for those with kidney failure due to lupus? I have end stage renal failure and high potassium so virtually no veg allowed especially leafy greens 😖 So confused
How r u now
Avocados are rather high in fat whilst their omega 6/3 ratio is worth than e.g. for walnuts (yet simultanously you recommend avoiding nuts in general).
Hi, can you list the fruits and vegetables that need to be eaten and which ones to avoid? Thanks!
😭😭😭 I’m just finding out about this over a year later. Does she ever do freebies from time to time since she no longer offers the classes free?
Every 7 or so weeks she will open up her classes to the public. Her facebook group is helpful as well! facebook.com/groups/smoothieshred
Ya i can't do the smoothies
How much flax and chia in a day
Do you loose loads of weight??
What does your doctor think of this? Mine didn’t seem too impressed by AIP. I’m wondering why these diets aren’t more widely prescribed.
Elizabeth Barone u need to get a video called eating u alive it’s a documentary and dr g is in it , but yes look at her website u will be amazed she is the real thing .
Elizabeth Barone Look into the bloodtype diet by Dr D’Adamo, that might help
Your dr doesn’t live your life.. you hv to take control of your health.. meds just manage symptoms.. I’m seeing a functional medicine doctor I went from being diagnosed in November with a dsDNA of 274 to negative and negative ANA!! 3 months.. if you want to get better you will..
he thinks it’s great 👍🏼 my labs look better look at the protocol yes i’m trying to get off meds and heal thru my diet .
yes i know meds r a bandage , that’s great how long have u had lupus ?
Ok, but that is not enough calories. What else can you eat on her protocol? Doesnt seem like enough calories there.
Wow, that sounds like A LOT of water...
Is that your natural hair color Samantha?
Yhats a lot of fat with all that chia and flax...and I know about omega 3...but it is high fat that causes atherosclerosis...no matter what omega you are consuming.
There are good fats and bad fats..your brain , body and joints need good fat 😊
@@nunyabizllc2 they are all found in greens. You do not need overt fats. The best omega 3 blood profile I ever had was when I consumed kale every day with oats. Oats are 16% fat alone. I had no nuts or avocado or oil at that time. With the added nuts and avocado I gained plaque inside my arteries. When I took those foods out and went back to oats and greens...some of the plaque regressed. You can't tell what those "good fats'" are doing to you until it's too late. There is no such thing as a good fat. Their damage is slow and relentless.
@betzib8021 I can't do grains at all 🙃 but I would have to disagree on the fats ..my grandmother lived to be 99 eating real butter , lard and drinking whole milk lol she ate lots of fats ..but also lots of veggies and beans too ...I crave fats ..I don't think I could make it without my grass fed butter ...not trying to argue ..just being honest 😊
@betzib8021 u do know that k2 remove arterial plaque... kale has k1 which if you have the right microbes is supposed to turn into k2 as needed ..sounds like something is wrong there ..God gave us nuts and avocados any veggie or but shouldn't clog your arteries..there has to be something else at play here 🤔
@@nunyabizllc2 there are people who can do anything...many of them eat and drink what they want....even smoke...and live long lives...they are outliers....but Maybe you have her genes...then you can too. My point is there is no way to know until damage is done because calcification does not show up until decades later. There are no blood tests to show you. My blood risk factor tests were excellent...but all the while nuts and avocados were plaguing up my arteries.. Dr Esselstyn had his great success w heart disease for a reason ...no oils no fats. Anyway you don't have to eat grains...they are convenient...not necessary. Play Russian roulette if you want...have your beliefs. If you have grandma's genes you'll be fine...and you will have won the lottery.
Why are you only doing it for 4 weeks? Why don't you do it for life?
