i went vegan for 13 years. I reversed my high BP, high cholesterol, last stage AML (leukemia), migrains with diet and lifestyle. Your videos are excellent. great job. You are a star.
Iâve been vegan for almost seven years now and Iâm 68 years young and I have never felt better thank you so much for sharing this
My wife and I have been whole foods, plant based since February 2016. We have had nothing but extremely good health and energy at 71 and 70 years old. This old man can push a mower in the SC heat all day! It's amazing!

Wonderful piece and extraordinary work Dr. Goldner is doing. My favorite line "you inherit your parents' genes, but you don't have to inherit their habits". Mom had type 2, Dad had heart disease, both had dementia in their later years. I'm doing everything I can to keep those genes in check. That means a plant based diet, exercise, yoga and meditation.
Plant-based news promotes propaganda that fish is unhealthy and actively prompts vegan junk food from subway and KFC and McDonald's so what is it is vegan about your health or the animals if it is about health then why do you make videos when a non-vegan restaurant make vegan junk food I but go all on aboard when talking about unprocessed food like fish I wonder
Plus
The title should be why vegan doctors like to hate anything that's non-Vegan I can make a whole video about why brown rice is unhealthy because the high level of arsenic cause cancer so therefore brown rice is unhealthy what about the DHA IN Fish is better than ALA in plants and much more bioavailable I think I would rather listen to what longest living healthy Japanese are eating whole food unprocessed diets
just because most vegans are less likely to smoke and drink alcohol and eat less processed food doesn't mean that vegan diets are Heather at all the fact that pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here.
This study on vegans' use of saying vegan being Heather than meat-eater has clearly shown the opposite true with the fish-eater this doesn't mean vegan diets are unhealthy but not optimal as whole food plants based with some fish since this diet provides all the nutrients from plants and B12 DHA and more biologically available vitamins A and D, therefore, non-vegan diets can be slightly Heather than WFPBD
Not all vegans eat this diet vegans do eat refined carbs also added vegetable oils and mock meats are not correct to say that vegans are automatically Heather because their diet is vegan
Any idea, why pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here. Thanks for your reply.
The level of mercury in fresh Atlantic salmon is 220 parts per billion mercury so which means
That a 3oz serving is equal to 85 grams of Salmon
220/1000000000 equal
0.00000022 grams of mercury x1000 to milligrams then it's 0.00022 milligrams x1000 to micrograms then it's 0.22 microgram x85 for 3oz serving 18.7 micrograms of mercury
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) states that 0.1 mcg per kg) of body weight per day is the maximum safe dose of mercury.
So 18.7 mcg from fish
I am weighing about 73kg that's about 161 lb
So
Roundabout 0.10mcg per lb
so my exposure Is within the safe non-risk limit if I eat 85 grams every day which is a lot I eat about 85 grams of salmon 3 times a week so my total consumption a week is about 255grams that's equal to 9oz a week
Now we have to x3 the exposure of mercury that's come at
18.7/161 = 0.116149068322981 x3 = 0.348447204968943
Roundabout 0.35
I have to 7x the safe expound limit of 0.1 x7 = 0.7 mcg per pound per week is safe to limit
I only would get 0.35 which is well within the safe limit so at this level heavy metals like mercury are completely harmless to get a negative effect you need to be exposed serval times the upper safe limit so you are wrong about
fish contains omega 3 and DHA that helps the brain development and lower heart disease anyways if you are still concerned about this explore it safe to eat fish a couple of times a week the benefits of fish completely outweigh the negative so stop spending misinformation
If you still are stubborn about not eating heavy metal you do know that you're exposed to heavy materials at a far higher amount from second-hand smoke brown rice has arsenic that's doesn't mean that brown rice is unhealthy like fish the benefits outweighs the drawbacks of combining fish with prominently plant-based is optimal for health đ
nice logic very mon biased video đđ

I like Brooke Goldner's work and publications, too. I bought her book titled Goodbye Autoimmune Disease. Chapter 46 contains a case study about Ellen Jaffee Jones which I recommend. Brooke's enthusiasm is well founded on how she restored her own health and how she is helping others.
Victoria Boutenko has written about diet and also advocates drinking green smoothies. She and her children moved from Russia to the US several years ago. On arrival, they were agog at all the food we have - let's eat it. A few years later their declining health caused them to reconsider how they were eating. One of her children informed himself about gathering and eating wild plants and wrote a book about that. Anyhow, I'm in a process of changing my diet, including making green smoothies, and trying plant based recipes. I was a regular meat eater and haven't entirely stopped, but I reduced it by at least 80%. I no longer believe eating meat is necessary or advisable.
Do you have a short attention span or something?
Like Dr.McDougall always said, your body is always healing itself â€
But his diet is mostly cooked vegan food and lots of rice which is inflammatory
The process of getting sick mostly is so slow that getting more tired you think is your normal state but when changing your food and getting much more energy you start to acknowledge having been sick for a long time. Many people these days walk around like zombies thinking they are healthy
Good advice. Except on the vaccine đ
May God move you to continue to share this messageâ€
So great to have one doctor like you sister! You have a better than normal understanding on how the body works and the enthusiasm to explain it to people.
You are right, the autoimmune diseases are caused by over toxicity in the body. I am not a doctor, but anyone who has studied Hygiesm and experienced in his/herself, knows that this is true.

Dr. Goldner you are one of the best. Keep on pushing your information. You canât help all but you can help many to live a healthy happy lives.
Ms Brooke Goldner is fantastic
I have watched several of your videos, talks, presentations now and I want you to know that youâre making a positive difference in my life. Iâve been so sick with a VARIETY of awful sxâs that mirror vertigo and heart issues. Itâs been the most awful time of my life. Oh how we take our health for GRANTED when itâs good! I pray that I NEVER, EVER take a âgood dayâ for granted again. Iâve been taking some of your suggestions and Iâm viewing my hyper-nourishment and hydration as my daily âmedicineâ. How I wish that I would have been introduced to you earlier (like prior to 2019 when my health took a drastic dive)!
Yes, Iâm doing the hyper-nourishment and hydrating, yet, I am still struggling with the foods that I enjoy. I am not a great cook and that doesnât help. On the bright side, Iâm not addicted to sugar or to fried foods. But, if I understand the protocol accurately I need to completely cut out meat? I had a taco yesterday (organic beef). I guess I just wonder why I still feel hungry even after my smoothie. I drink 1/2 of the smoothie a few hours after waking up and the other 1/2 in the evening. I have ramped up my H2O intake as well. I just still need help!
I looked for the group/course but I donât have that much money (b/c I canât work as many hours due to my health).
Feeling encouraged but discouraged at the same time đđŒ
Might be a bit late to this, but I recommend natural Acqua Panna spring water if you can afford it for the natural minerals and to consume all organic plant foods with a diet routinely consisting of ancient whole grains like Kamut, rye, spelt, or quinoa. Whole grains are extremely important, but ancient whole grains are the impeccable nutrition powerhouses that mesh better with our bodies than modern grains. Some contain gluten, some donât, but if youâre sensitive or a celiac thereâs some good news. People with what they thought was âceliac diseaseâ stayed away from gluten containing foods that caused their allergy to flare up for a long while (Several months) and ate ancient gluten containing grains afterwards to find that their supposed âceliac diseaseâ was non existent. This was a research study and not simply just word of mouth. I can provide it if youâd like. The structure of the gluten in these grains is much more fragile than modern varieties. People with so called âgluten sensitivityâ no longer found themselves sensitive or as sensitive once they tried ancient grains. Highly recommend them to anyone, including you. They can get rid of the IBS and other digestive issues people may claim to have after eating other grains.
Chickpeas are another great food to try, hearty and very nutritious. You could make chickpea burgers from them with chopped green and red bell peppers inside, then make yourself flatbread buns from spelt with some lettuce/kale, some avocado Mayo (Plant based mayonnaise), homemade non processed ketchup and serve with a side of quinoa, a salad or whichever side of vegetables youâd like. If you like it spicy you could make it with some homemade habanero sauce and extra cayenne pepper to really pack the punch youâre looking for.
Keep in mind, using all organic whole plant foods for your recipes will be essential in maintaining an optimal diet. Youâll miss out on all the polyphenols, additional anti-inflammatory effects, and the delicious natural flavor they have. Without pesticides, of course. Itâll make you feel much more encouraged to eat or to become a better chef. Eat plenty of natural wild crafted sea moss (Golden or Irish Moss, doesnât matter which kind) to get your extra 92 minerals and use natural sweeteners like organic date syrup and raw organic agave nectar if youâd like your food to be a bit sweeter. Both are healthy donât worry. You could even use date sugar instead of table sugar. Thereâs a healthier form of agave that comes in a powdered form called agave inulin that you could put in your smoothies or what-have-you. Some argue that raw agave nectar isnât as healthy as people claim, but it does come packed with polyphenols and some nutrients. The agave inulin powder however has been shown to be very healthy and anti-inflammatory along with date syrup.
These are my pieces of advice for you to help make your food more filling, more nutritious, and more palatable without it becoming unhealthy or just imitation foods like soy (King of GMOs). I donât recommend soy because of the estrogenic properties it has, which have brought on acute hypothyroidism in iodine deficient patients (Most in the US are) and have been shown to enlarge fibroid tumors. Not cause fibroids more often, but significantly enlarge existing fibroids directly in association with soy phytoestrogen consumption. Chickpeas, mushrooms, and ancient grain flours help make some great alternatives, or hey, you could always make yourself some mushroom meatballs with Kamut noodles if you miss some homestyle spaghetti and meatballs.
Hope you enjoy!

Cruciferous vegetables... when my backyard chickens (I am plant-based but not vegan) are given kitchen scraps, they go for the cruciferous vegetables and carrots first, then the onions, then anything else. They know what they need. We also know what we need, we just often choose wrongly.

Give it to me straight Doc, oh you did, great video Doc.
I was vegan for 9 months and eventually felt weak and looked unhealthy, even with supplementing B12, D3, and plant-based protein powder. While my diet is still plant-forward, I occasionally eat grass-fed/finished beef, wild caught salmon and sardines, and some cage-free eggs. Iâm feeling better now and friends say I look good too.
Hi , I get it I had sth similar, I had eventually cravings for some meat , I ve sort it it out . Im still plant based ( I can't be involved in killing of land animals), however once a week or two weeks I have fish ( not farmed ). Than my cravings for sth else has stopped. So when I work it out about 95-98% of my meals re plant based.I grow my own veg - no any chemicals . I go to gym , once a week running. I'm 55 I look younger.Im fitter than when I was 30. Im sure we still do great job for ourselves, animals, our planet. We don't need to be perfect, perfect vegan ( my opinion)....
It takes time to adjust properly...
I read a lot and educate myself.
I relearn how to cook, how to perceive food, how to combine.
And to be vegan required time and lots of efforts.
You were never vegan, you were plant based that didnât know how to formulate a well balanced diet. Veganism isnât a specific diet or about health, itâs 100% about ethics.
You were probably not eating enough calories or not enough fruit and greens.
You should research this doctors method and do that with your veganism. She drinks giant green smoothies with a lot of omega 3 - flaxseeds or chia. Huge amounts of green! It changes your life! She got rid of my lupus! âïž
Western diet is essentially ultra processed packaged, ultra sweet food and fast food . it has nothing to do with plant based or animal based . its not like people were not eating meat and diary before in non-western countries . Infact , countries like india which are over 85% vegetarian ,consume huge amounts of diary products ,they never faced any issues till the likes of kellog's and mcdonalds penetrated deeply in to country after 1992.
Plant based alone doesnât equate to health. Thereâs a plethora of junk plant based foods. Key words to note, â Whole Foods, plant basedâ.
Thank you đ„Šâ€
great interview
Thanks!
About triggers in food world. When I switched to eating a lot more fruit with vegetables and leafy greens turned things around. I used to be adicted to chocolate and now I walk past the sweets section in the shops and I don't even realize that it's there. It's totally got to do with the glucos rich food. I got the information from Anthony William and his books. So the greens ARE vital yes AND so are the fruits!
I like what i am hearing!
I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease and have been vegan for 3 years. Several doctors have already told me that I have to stop eating because I have to give up legumes (they inflame me), gluten, soy and derivatives. And that I can't continue to maintain it, that at least I have to be a vegetarian to be able to improve my symptoms. I can't find anyone who is vegan and has this disease and can guide me. I would love to continue with this lifestyle, as we know veganism is much more than a diet, but the doctors do not support me, they are the ones who have to help me the most, I am without support anywhere. I need books that contain veganism and that are specific to this disease, I need people who have both. And this video has fallen from the sky. If someone knows of more people like this doctor I would love to know, thank you very much.
I have hypothyroidism and I stopped eating soy, gluten, grains, dairy and sugar. it has made a big difference. Everyone is different so listen to your body after you eat different foods. I added in wild caught salmon, sardines and pastured raised and fed eggs. I have always eaten a lot of organic leafy greens, veggies and berries. I have always exercised too..
how about you actually change your diet for a while, maybe a couple of months, and listen to your doctors advice? keep in mind that no problem can be solved by the mindset that created it. you're simply not cut out for a plant based diet
have you seen any nutritionists/dietitians? general care doctors and doctors that specialize in certain diseases usually aren't required to be educated in nutrition.. but genuinely, best of luck.
I have had Hashimoto's for most of my adult life (diagnosed about 25 years ago). I eat almost entirely plant-based food, although occasionally, when I'm out, I slip up. Nevertheless, that's not more than once a month, and I don't ever eat meat. I eat legumes, soy, or homemade bread almost every day. My antibodies are in the very low hundreds usually, and I take 25 mcg of thyroid per day.
I had my thyroid removed 16 years ago, before going plant-based, and since then, it's grown back, and it's functioning. This is unusual, and had I known it would eventually happen, I probably would not have had my thyroid removed in the first place, as it was not a quick surgery. I use less thyroid meds now than I have in a long time.
I'm not completely healed by diet alone, but I have very few issues, compared to most people. I'm not overweight, and I have enough energy sleeping 8 hours a night. If I really wanted to, I suspect I could fix myself up more, but I'm ok as it is.
That said, if I eat meat or dairy or junk food for more than a few accidental times, I start having vestibular migraines, fibroids, fatigue, etc.
I should say, though, that I avoid immune-boosting foods because they tend to also boost my autoimmune system. Echinacea, green tea, and elderberry leave me exhausted if I have them several days in a row. If I have too much iodine, it's the same.
It's a balance.
@@taekwonmo
do you actually suggest that she should have thyroid gland removal procedure?
I am paleo and had a mild case of Covid and I have Lupus. I was sick for two days but not that bad and I'm 66. Although I drink a green smoothie most every day. Although not strict Paleo the last few months which could've contributed to me getting it.

you are probably her aunt. no serious person would read a book by an author who claims that calcium oxalate kidney stones are caused by eating meat.
Love veggies & greens, I've felt so much better and kept 60lbs off for 7 years with whole food diet! But hold up, the intro argument is that her cholesterol is down? We've known that "cholesterol", assuming she means LDL-B, is actually not a strong predictor of â ïž unless you get it too low or sky high.. then risk goes way up. Triglyceride to HDL ratio is a better predictor of heart disease.
Veganism is good for some people, but tricky (and invites illness) unless you're very well studied and know what vitamins & minerals you'll need to supplement that you're eliminating. Just eliminate most processed foods and sugars and veg seed oils, do plenty of strength training+ cardio, get good sleep, lower stress, build friendships!!!!
Veganism is rising and thriving while carnism is trying and dying! WE ARE VEGAN! WE ARE STRONG! IF YOU'RE NOT VEGAN WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG!?!?!

Hi. Just came up on your talk with Dr. Brooke two days ago. My mom is diabetic. Have chronic kidney disease and sadly my mom went to the hospital to check why she was having blood in her urine. They put a telescope in her and after that, she went into cardiac arrest and is on the breathing machine. Now, by listening to doc., I was wondering can I give her fresh smoothies and juice everyday while she is there.
If she is vented she is being tube fed. You need to discuss with the dietitian about green smoothies. I
I love that Dr. Goldner are aligned with a balanced solution. Vaccines and nutrient dense foods! I'm still confused about the idea of no meat or other cooked foods at all. I keep hearing contradicting thoughts. For instance, Dr. Mark Hyman touts the "Pegan" diet. A lot of vege's with small amounts of grass fed meat and wild caught fish. People seem to heal on those diets as well. There are so many conflicting thoughts which is very confusing.
I have not been diagnosed for autoimmune disease but I am dying every day don't know panic attacks anxiety and much more I am keto for couple of years cut all dairy carb intermittent fasting I can't have any fruits even not sweet one how do I know if it is right for me .can I have a consultation with you
Where I can get your books
How I can get a appointment?
Men too
I like this talk because I've followed her impressive work and she's the first one to have successes through diet with patients with lung disease (which is what I was recently diagnosed with). Also glad to hear her endorse vaccines. But I was sad that she is calling people herbivores as opposed to carnivores. Anthropologists of ancient diets classify us as omnivores. (See the youtube talks by an anthropologist "Debunking the Paleo Diet" and "How Paleo is Your Diet?". The latter in particular states that humans are classified with other omnivorous primates.) We eat varied types of omnivorous diets all over the planet depending on our ecosystem. (For the record, I've been a vegetarian since 1976, and mostly plant-based for the last ten years.) The biggest exception is India which produced a good percentage of vegetarians albeit by keeping dairy in their diets, and not surprisingly the Harvard Health Publishing pages online (see the page "Are You Getting Enough B12?" "Vitamin B12 | The Nutrition Source" ) states that dairy is the most bioavailable form of B12 for humans (and veganism is one of the major causes of B12 deficiency) Actually, I can't find the part that says dairy B12 is more bioavailable. That's either on another page or updated research caused them to remove it from the articles; just to be straightforward/). Indians were doing vegetarian diets successfully centuries before anyone else, long before anyone even knew what B12 was (it was discovered in the early 1900s, B12 shots became available in the 1940s, the same decade veganism was given its name. I don't know when B12 pills were invented.)
As far as anatomy is considered and our genetic adaptations for eating both animal and plant foods, check out an article from Vegan Handbook: Over 200 Delicious Recipes, Meal Plans, and Vegetarian Resources for All Ages (1996, Debra Wasserman and Reed Mengals). The article is called "Humans are Omnivores" and it's based on a talk by an anatomist and primatologist. You can read this article by googling "Humans are Omnivores -- The Vegetarian Resource Group".
Can I eat yogurt and chia seeds?
We need to eat to live not to die. Don't feed the sicknesses feed your body.
I wonder besides the western diet, the overly stress on physical and mental on a constant basis both contribute to the rise of autoimmune diseases?
Iâm vegan for 26 years and 55 years old and activist here in New York !! And yes plant based can help reverse lots of chronic diseases đđ»đđ»đđ»đđ»

Do you know, have seen or found any studies from this find that looked into how the spread of GMOs could be involved with spread of these diseases? Along or paired with the fact that the spread of Western diet is also having? So yes, we are not changes as a species, but could GMO's be impairing our gut at all?
Now a year later we know the stuff from the vaccine does not go away, does this change your mind on MRNA delivery system?
Do I use ground flax or whole?
She says whole.
Whole and grind it yourself
I donât think itâs what we are eating but how we are preparing the food from pesticides, to the chemicals in our drinking water and the chemicals that seep into our food from plastic. Iâve never eaten the western diet, Iâm in great shape (5â4â, 125lbs.) love to exercise, follow a plant based diet and Iâve just been diagnosed with pre-diabetes with elevated glucose levels⊠theyâve put me on metformin. I have no idea how I got here except that I drink tap water, still use plastic (pretty unavoidable) and my food has been grown with pesticides. I think thatâs the true cause.

If you are on a plant based diet just see that you eat in moderation too. Keep balance between your protein and carbs. Cut insulin resistance with a light walk after eating for 15-20 minutes you will see that sugars reduce.
I would check out Dr Gabor Mate's book The Myth of Normal. It shows how your environment can cause different diseases. It helped me understand why my mother developed stage 4 lung cancer even though she was vegetarian her whole life, never drank or smoked and wasn't on any prescription drugs. Good luck!
My cholesterol is 124 !!
Why is this program so expensive?
The protocol is up free on the website and her books are at the library = no cost đ„Šâ€
To me, Brooke is the prettiest but I know it's subjective. Concerning covid, I got 3 covid shots and I'll be using a mask at a hockey game that's sold out with 20,000 people. I don't need to catch anything from that place. I'm pretty sure all the other people who I will be in contact with had covid already so one main place I have to protect myself.
It's not just covid though it's other airborne diseases, also.
Cholesterol of 158 Wow!
I have a question regarding
Green leaves and assorted vegetables. Most contain
Oxalic acid that can be very harmful to your body. The more vegetables you eat the more oxalates accumulate in your body. So what can you do to avoid those oxalates or neutralize them??
Well..eat a more omnivorous balanced diet . Don't go fully in to one camp .
She has a video on oxalates on her CZcams channel
I have just been introduced to Dr G. and very interested in learning more. I have been plant based for 10 years and vegetarian for a number of years prior due to IBS. I have recently been diagnosed with a leaky gut and as a result of this been experiencing inflamed joints hence reaching out to repair this broken gut. Green shakes for me going forward!!
You are my most inspired SUPER HERO! Thanks for your inspiration!

Cooking vegan seems harder for me
I say that i follow a plant based diet. Never call myself vegan or vegetarian
7:32 Tsk tsk.
I was long time vegan. Got sicker. Went carnivore and fixed every thing wrong with me.......go figure.
I do not eat meat but I am addicted to diet coke....I drink them all day long....I don't know what to do....
Stop
Forgot to mention she is 77 years old.
Long covid is hyperglocemia
Gary null on his radio program natural living years ago had a woman who worked in the industry that makes these vaccines. She said she could no longer with integrity stay in that job there were things like rat hairs in those products. I would not put that into my childâs body. Six decades later, I know many people, including myself that didnât have those vaccinations and are just fine.
Awesome info, except about the scamdemmic and the jab, not doing the deeper dive in that arena
It isnt the meat, it isnt the vegies. The problem is sugar.
Sugar w/ meat dairy and carbs. The combo. Triglyceride s
