  • Today I'm going to attempt to beat the famous original IQ Tester. The point of this game is to eliminate the pegs one at a time until you are left with just one. Although many people will try and solve it randomly, I've challenged my self to figure out the pattern and memorize the solution... ENJOY!

Just leaving one peg technically isn't the real solution! The "hardest" solution is actually leaving 8 pegs remaining with no possible jumps. The second hardest solution is to leave one peg, *specifically in the hole you originally left empty*. Just leaving one peg on the board is considered the third hardest solution.

The DemonSlayer6669 it’s impossible to get that but if there would be a diffrent shape than this triangle also with 15 holes it would be pretty easy to figure out bec you can only move twice after you eliminated one pin to start so there would be not many options
So in conclusion you and the 5 people who liked your comment have a really low iq

When I was a kid i figured out that there are fewer solutions than you would originally think, it's all about the orientation of the board and that all possible beginnings are solvable. i couldn't do it now, but i did manage to figure out the correct pattern to solve all of them. i then challenged myself to see if i could leave 5 pins with all possible beginnings. that's a lot harder.

I've always heard that the "correct way to play/win" is to start with the middle out and only the middle left. Because of its design there are technical 4 ways to "win" with 1 peg with the mid missing there is only 1 way to solve with 1 peg in mid.

Nice little puzzle. I had to pause the video at one point to find an online version. After a few attempts I finally cracked it too, but from a different starting point (middle edge). We both took about 13 moves to solve it, so I think the key is not where you start but how you continue. I may buy this - the one you have - for my dad, as he likes puzzles and this one looks really nice too! :)

    Hello Chris! Well done!
Here in Brazil we have almost the same game, with the same goal but the name and, more important, the format of the board is different.
It is called "Resta Um" that would be roughly translated to "Only One Left" in portuguese (yep...brazillians ain't hispanic since we where colonized by Portugal...).
The board is shaped like a cross... search for it in google to see what it is all about.
The interesting thing is that the centre hole is always empty but the goal is the same: Make only one peg be left on the board.
    ...
...but there is a catch: The HARDER way to solve it is to left only one peg ON THE CENTER HOLE which is far far harder , believe me!
Nice vid, congrats on the channel and carry on, mate!!
    Cheers!!
    (you got a new sub)

Aye! There is an algorithm to solve it by lefting just one peg in the centre.
But, OBVIOUSLY, I just found it out just a few years back, hahahaha!!

Do not be so optimistic... foreigners still think I understand spanish completely, which I do not.
Of course both languages are similar, but they differ enough to mess up the communication.

There is an easy way to break
The system of this puzzle that I found. I call it the revenge tactic. Every time you "kill" a pin, the "killer" has to be the next target. If you can't kill the killer, than you might as well start over. It will always work, I think.

I found a pattern to This puzzle : so basically when I solved it it was a reformation of the same “L” (however the 2 parts of the “L” is equidistant) that you had. So one solution is to try to find a way of getting to the “L” formation so for instance the “L” could be acute or it could be obtuse to how it was when you solved it also the “L” could be translated/rotated anywhere that’s it’s possible to be

Some days i really like a good puzzel and when i first looked at this i first had to think about the shape and than how that would affect the out come. Than i realized that you had to remove the corners to win because if you had one corner left there would atleast be two left because of the triangular shape. Finally to solve the puzzel i saw that keeping all the pieces in the center with an extra area to move would create the opportunity to solve the puzzel.
